Guest Kev Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 His sight is slowly returning, he can now pick up shadows and outlines and it improves as the swelling and bruising goes down. He is not expected to play again this season, although this has not been completely ruled out. It's about 80/20 that he wont play. Exceedingly optimistic that he'll be ready for next season.

Guest Kev Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 You read the Echo yesterday as well then Never got the Echo Ste, went straight to the ground Echoless from work. I thought it wasn't public knowledge
Ronnie Whelan Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Still good news no matter where it was reported.

I thought it wasn't public knowledge Just a gentle ribbing Kev - there was odds and sods in the Echo/Post similar to what you've said with some encouraging words from Didi. Think it was mentioned he was starting to read letters off the chart - though if it was only the big f***-off A at the top he's still got some way to go
M4TTA Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 indeed, glad for the boy, heres to more improvment and health

Herbie von Smalls Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 made up that his sight is on the mend , but gutted we're likely to be without him for the rest of the season .

Mono Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 If it wasn't such a serious injury I'd jokingly suggest doing an opticians chart style mosaic on the Kop

XabisBadFoot Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 If it wasn't such a serious injury I'd jokingly suggest doing an opticians chart style mosaic on the Kop Momo to the optician: " no, no - it still looks like 'Liverpool 1 - Man Utd 0' "
Maldini Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 He only needs to be able to see shadows to play, kind of like the Predator
Mono Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Geordie La Forge managed ok with his visor. Seriously tho if he is prone to these injuries he should wear Davids type goggles. Anything to minimise the risk of it happening a 3rd time
Guest Jack Bauer Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Geordie Le Forge stopped using his visor in the films cause the Klingons used it to spy on the Enterprise and destroy it.
Mono Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Damn Klingons!! If they're not stuck in yer bum crack they're spying on the Enterprise
floyd Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Geordie Le Forge stopped using his visor in the films cause the Klingons used it to spy on the Enterprise and destroy it. MostIntrestingWorstFact.EVER
Bailo Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 (edited) Geordie Le Forge stopped using his visor in the films cause the Klingons used it to spy on the Enterprise and destroy it.Pish. He stopped using it as he got his eyes fixed. In fact, at one point in First Contact, Jean-Luc asks Geordie How are the new eyes, Geordie? and then he said Make it so! Repington Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 A Polish man goes into an opticians. The optician shows him the eye chart and asks him if he can read it.The man says "read it? I know him".
Spike Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 bad joke but I love it If it wasn't such a serious injury I'd jokingly suggest doing an opticians chart style mosaic on the Kop ] can I recommend doing a big f*** off arrow mosaic pointing towards the goal first though?
