Huyton_Red Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 (edited) Apparently two deaf fans lip read one of our players racially abusing a Man Utd player at the Old Trafford game on 22nd January and the police are investigating http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/men/news...w_hits_utd.html Edited February 28, 2006 by Huyton_Red
Knox_Harrington Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 That's an episode of Seinfeld isn't it?
anny road Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 let me get this straight the player allegedly abused hasnt made the complaint but someone watching on TV
Rushian Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Non-story really isn't it? No complaint from a Man Utd player or their club. Two "fans" make a complaint over something which is entirely open to differing subjective analysis and disagreements leading to another slur on our club.
Huyton_Red Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 Apparently, the police investigation is due to two deaf fans ringing up who said they lip read a liverpool player racially abusing a Man Utd player The Man Utd player has not made any complaint Beggars Belief doesnt it

We're getting it in the neck at the moment. The key question is this... ...when will The Guardian run with it?
crisps Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 (edited) just read the comments on the page No wonder their fans are fast becoming known as the worst in the country if this is the example of the players. All the critism of Gary Neville & his fine by the FA is a joke in comparison to this incident. Nothing will happen though because the player dosent play for Manchester United. John, manchester 28/02/2006 at 10:2 so gary neville acting like a full blown c**k which could have caused trouble is nothing compared to a liverpool player ''supposably'' abusing a man utd player (which comes from a story that sounds b0lox) - f****n t|t Edited February 28, 2006 by mikeyj
Huyton_Red Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 Which player could it of possibly been ? Ferdinad, Brown ? Did Evra play, he doesnt even speak english does he. And I can not beleive Brown or Ferdinand would not of said something if they where racially abused
Knox_Harrington Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Momo called Rooney a honkyThat's disgusting. He should have called him "a right c***".
The Hitman Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 And I can not beleive Brown or Ferdinand would not of said something if they where racially abusedFerdinand definitely would've said something, and rightly so.I get the impression that if somebody racially abused a player on the pitch over here, there'd be some sort of fracas. It wouldn't just pass unnoticed. I hate Manchester United.
madaboutlfc Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 it seems having a go at Liverpool is back in vogue.. fecken c****

Guest Kev Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Ferdinand was deffo abused, he was sitting with their fans
Cooldude Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 It's Man Utd, if there's racial abuse on one of their players, they would've been whinging about it 24/7 and make sure everyone and their dogs know about it. They said nothing They're deaf already but surely they ain't going blind, too?
stressederic Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 If one of our players had racially abused one of theirs, I find it hard to believe Gary Neville wouldn't have complained to the Referre or FA about it. Not so much to do with him being abused throughout the game, more to do with his protesting side thats been show through his protests and threatened strike action in the past.

Hopefully its crap but if true maybe the player didn't hear it or the player mouthed the word/s which would explain why these guys have picked up on it...
