Jesus that write up almost makes him sound half decent

He's more than half decent. His record and medals prove it.

What about his performances for the last year though Kev, bar a purple patch for about 4 games were he looked good? He has done a lot and won a lot, but that was for other clubs, and he can't live off that for the rest of his career mate.

totally agree, the man has lost confidence in himself and I'm not going to say a bad word about him. he is a class act and I will continue to support him. I think the fans really should let him know that he isn't under pressure too. Counting games going by without goals for a striker is never good for the mind.

We've had strikers in the past who've gone through goal droughts and losses of confidence. Some of them didn't work half as hard at the rest of their game and team play as Morientes done.

At some point I fully expect a ball to bobble off his knee and go in, and then maybe we'll see what happens.

He is under pressure though mate. £6m and coming on the back of his exploits with Monaco meant he had a big reputation, and he's looked abysmal in the main. Easy to knock off the ball, wants far too much time on the ball and doesn't seem likely to turn it round, afterall it's been months and months. I'll happily hold my hands up if I'm wrong, and I can't argue with people backing him, but he is and should be under pressure, a pressure a supposed world class striker should thrive on.

He'd be under a lot of pressure if Cisse was performing. The fact that Cisse is looking the worse of the two enables pressure to be eased on Nando.

Joint 2nd in the table..

the morientes - crouch partnership has alot to do with that..

Hes not getting the goals, but his support play is excellent...

Time of the season where we all need to get behind every player in the squad....the booing last weekend was scandelous.
