Andy @ Allerton Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 What is this obsession with playing the ball 5 yards - and anything other than a short pass - even those cleared from defence gets a 'HOOOOOF' from the less knowledgeable sections of the crowd (Except when their players are doing it - obviously) Is it just a wind-up? Is it because they genuinely believe that any system other than dainty 5 yard passes is 'long ball' The major 'culprits' seem to be Arsenal and Chelsea.. What do we reckon?
Ombudsam Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Arsenal fans started to get this superior attitude due to the football Wenger got them playing. You do wonder whether they celbrated their trophies under graham. Chelsea and ourselves just don't like each other and will slate each other for anything.
Benitez Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Funnily enough some SPuds fans have started the Arsenal Arrogance as well this year. Makes me laugh really, cos one second they are whinging about hitting long balls to Mido, then slagging off Liverpool for being boring (in the FA Cup game v's Man U - not a mention of how chit Man U where ) and then back to saying how great they are. I got very confused with them in the end A lot of fans, just tow the party line.
