Depends on alot of things

 

But if you are paying higher rate tax then the tax relief you get means that all other forms of saving will have to perform pretty well just to get level from a taxation point of view.

 

Plus not all pensions are the same. Company pensions that are final salary schemes are fantastic.

 

Plus alot depends on annuity rates when you retire.
