Depends on the interpretation of 'positive'. Rafa has said he would love to eventually coach Real Madrid. They may have taken that, since it's a positive inidication of his desire to be at the Bernebau and twisted it to make everyone think eventually is this summer.

I'm not remotely worried. He'll probably manage there one day but he's not exactly coming to the end of his managerial career. No reason for him to want to leave.

The official denial is very wishy-washy. I'm sure there's nothing in it but it'd be nice to have something to have a little more solid than all I'm thinking about is the comptetitions we're involved in now. Unless that's Rafa trying to bargain with the club.

I can't see Rafa going to Real Madrid and accepting the level of boardroom interference that it would bring. Especially seeing as he left Valencia for exactly those reasons.
