Phil236849 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 what do you mean, not really surprising call yourself a liverpool fan? djibril would make a much better defender than boumsong!
Stevie H Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 can't believe they're persisting with that t*** barthez.
Case Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Hopefully, Angry Djibril = Goals Djibril just like in the Super Cup Final in Monaco.
Phil236849 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 tweety pie, djimi, cygan or boumsong who'd ya pick?!
Benitez Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 tweety pie, djimi, cygan or boumsong who'd ya pick?! 2 of them ain't French for starters
Hassony Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 mexes and boumsoung in defence is great news for the rest of the world
XabisBadFoot Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 mexes and boumsoung in defence is great news for the rest of the world You say that, but Ged Houllier was after buying them both at one stage wasn't he..?? From Auxerre I think....
The Hitman Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 b******s,I was hoping he'd go,play a stormer, and we'd be able to flog him for a small fortune. When I think of what a disappointment he's been,it almost brings me to tears.
£440,000 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 tweety pie, djimi, cygan or boumsong who'd ya pick?! Djimi´s French. He elected to play for Mali as he probably realised that the new Desailly thing just wasn´t working.
Phil236849 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 forgot djimi elected to go for mali. tweety pie, boumsong and cygan are all french arent they
Sion Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 That's a bit of a sad decision. He's been playing well for France, and his club form should not have to come into it. Another confidence destroyer for a probably already low player. His manager doesn't want him, neither do most of the fans, and probably the players (seems like a loaner)
The Hitman Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 (seems like a loaner)I'd rather we sold him and got the money.
anfield11 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Nicolas Anelka (Fenerbahce), Thierry Henry (Arsenal), Louis Saha (Manchester United), David Trezeguet (Juventus), Sylvain Wiltord (Lyon) No wonder Dibby can't get in!! Still, if you look at the whole squad, it looks like an Old Trafford special....good forwards, crap midfield and defense.
Benitez Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 can't believe they're persisting with that t*** barthez. and yet another amazing blunder by Barthez v's Bolton tonight. He's gifting the hoofers a spot in the next round all by himself the twunt
Earl Hafler Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Though thankfully no short pulling after tonights blunder, just a look to the heavens.
Leo No.8 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 (edited) That's a bit of a sad decision. He's been playing well for France, and his club form should not have to come into it. Another confidence destroyer for a probably already low player. His manager doesn't want him, neither do most of the fans, and probably the players (seems like a loaner) Poor, poor Djibril. He'll have to console himself by going for a ride around his huge country estate in a dune buggy, then perhaps throwing some £50 notes on the fire to warm the mansion up. £60,000 odd I would imagine we're paying him every week, as well as a £14m transfer fee, and he couldn't trap a bag of cement or hit a barn door from ten paces. I know his salary and fee aren't his fault, but you'll excuse me if my sympathy is limited... Edited February 24, 2006 by Leo No.8
crisps Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 has Distin ever played for France? Sure he's better option that Boumsong?
Leo No.8 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 has Distin ever played for France? Sure he's better option that Boumsong? Absolutely - Distin makes the odd error, but in general is very solid indeed. Presumably that's why Newcastle didn't eventually sign him after they had him there for a loan period. NUFC Check List for Signing Defender: Error Prone: Occasionally Defensively Inept: No Verdict: Not suitable.
IgPig Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 not good news for us really. We need him to go to the world cup and do well, so we can get a decent amount of money for him.
BigBird Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 One year left on Cisse?s contract and we pay £14M for him.One year left on Owens?s contract and we sell him for £8M. Can anyone explain this?
Benitez Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 One year left on Cisse?s contract and we pay £14M for him. I thought that was interweb myth. I was under the imperssion he signed a new contract with Auxerre during the time he was being linked with us.
Guest Cisse's mate Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Here is Cisse's stats compared to Moro and Crouch Cisse Started 21 - as sub 20 - mins played 2108 goals 12 - average goals to minutes 175.67CrouchStarted 30 - as sub 5 - mins played 2388 goals 7 - average goals to minutes 341.14Moro Started 26 - as sub 7 - mins played 2239 goals 6 - average goals to minutes 373.17 Cisse scores double over the other two. I rest my case.
IgPig Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 how many of those goals were in the league/cl proper/fa cup/league cup rather than super cup or cl qualifying rounds? Genuine question.
