weird. i never saw the f***** except for the odd dead-ball. thought makelele and gudjohnsen far outshone him.

The way the press were banging on about Lampard this morning you'd swear he was Maradona and Pele rolled into one. I thought he went missing for long periods of the game last night and, in the second half, I counted three or four terrible passes from him that put Chelsea in all sorts of difficulties. He is hugely overrated.

He just facilitated things. Did for Chelsea what Deco does for Barca (who went off the boil last night). Thought Gudjohnsen played well as well as did Robben. That's what struck me - Chelsea at eleven or ten can't play much better than that. Barca can and hopefully will.

While no English team could hope to achieve the level of bamboozelment Barca did, to see Chelsea with feet of clay should at least help them start treating Chelsea like they are some kind of immovable colossos and getting and them.
