Guest Jack Bauer Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Arrrrrrrrrr, mateys. Get well soon Momo. Sure he'll be fine.
Earl Hafler Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Hope it isn't as serious as they're reporting. Speedy recovery, Momo.
Gomez Posted February 21, 2006 Author Posted February 21, 2006 (edited) OS The word 'serious' really worries me. No eye injury's are trivial, but this kind of imply's it's bad. Obviously the most important thing is for Momo to recover fully, and maybe it's the beer and the defeat, but am I over reacting to think anything that limits / impairs vision could be career ending? Bootser Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Innocent attempt for the ball - no malice. Quick recovery Mo.
Shanklyanfield Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Good luck Momo lad, hope everything is better soon you've been playing well lately!
Guest Jack Bauer Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Dean Shiels (used to be an Arsenal youth) has played with only one eye for omst of his short career.

Would never suggest it was a an attempt to seriously injure Sissoko, but it was dangerous play, Momo is not a short bloke and was not crouching that much, you don't go in at that height accidentally.

Sissoko was charging the ball down cos hes got balls and was going in at pace.. the Benfica player was making a clearance in a way like Carra did that ball to Sami for his goal at Wigan.... it was just wrong place at wrong time..

KopSpice Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Hope the injury doesn't turn out to be as serious as feared and no long lasting damage; wishing Momo a speedy recovery
Barnesy_10 Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 does double vision class as a serious eye injury? It looked like he was hit to the right of his right eye... but not directly in the eye, might be a fractured socket? In which case it could be a long recovery process.... Fair play to momo, he doesn't back down and works his balls off... if he goes down and stays down you know its a serious one... lets hope hes back soon, we need him... match number 44 tonight of a possible 77 for the season
Guest Jack Bauer Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 You're right, Dean Shiels had been playing with it since he was about six. For the record, I don't think he'll lose his eye but I'm talking about visual problems. Hasn't Scholes had double vision meaning he can't play? That was career threatening. We can take solace from the fact it didn't see to go straight into Momos eye like that guy who got t***ed by Hyypias overhead kick.
Andyjandy Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 (edited) Will he be the masked man? Zoro Sissoko Edited February 21, 2006 by Andyjandy
Guest efcrmagic Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Is it alright to laugh at him? Like a certain Alan Smith?
