David Hodgson Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Given Elisha's fears....? I'm sure this must have been covered elsewhere, but I can't find the answer.
Mike Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 he was training with the players last night on the AFP photos
David Hodgson Posted February 21, 2006 Author Posted February 21, 2006 I saw that, and that's obviously a good sign, but I'm presuming, then, that Elisha hasn't changed his view ?
Spion kop Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 if not we can play luis and harry on the wings it would be too lightweight for english football but ok for europe.

Guz Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 (edited) Rafa said there were no real injury problems after the mancs game, only the usual tiredness but we can't do anything about it. Cant remember what paper it was in, one of the broadsheets though. Means little though I guess, Gerrard could still be rested. Edited February 21, 2006 by Guz
honourablegeorge Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 As soon as the porspect of Gerrard being injured/rested is mentioned, you notice how dependent on him we've become for the right side, there really is nobody else. Garcia, much as I liek him, ain't the man. Especially with Benfica's wingers.
anny road Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 if he has a thigh problem that he has been playing with already I am guessing you will see him tonight and not on Sunday then he gets a decent rest

If he isn't fit enough to play tonight then surely they wouldn't have taken him as, from the sounds of things, it isnlt as though the injury has just come to light. I know that there is the morale aspect etc but it would seem daft to take him if he wasnlt going to be involved.
