Tosh Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Got a bad feeling about these 2 games. Don't know why but it's not good but then I did have a weird dream last night that we beat Chelsea in the semis on away goals. 2-2 final score
Gilps Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I'm feeling very confident about tonight, which isn't normally a good sign.

anny road Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 0-2 (Crouch, Fowler) hurrah not nervous in the slightest
Guest Anders Honoré Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I am supremely confident. We'll do a Leverkusen on them.
Barnes' left foot Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I'm not nervous at all. Benfica won't be looking forward to playing us. We're the Champions of Europe!!! Bring it on!

Scally the Wag Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Always feel better when the first leg is away... Been like that since about 1965. See no reason to change it now...
Beardsley Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Not too worried about the actual outcome, but the way the Benfica players dives, I'm worried we'll get a bunch of cards against us - which will hamper us later on.
Bootle Buck Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 (edited) I'm confident too. I think we will win both legs. 2-0 tonight with El Moro netting a brace. He will then go on a good run of scoring in the CL. At the end of the season we will all wonder why we ever doubted him. Edited February 21, 2006 by Bootle Buck
Guest Kev Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Not yet kicked in, but probably because I'm busy in work and haven't had time to think about the match.
RedHarvest Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 We'll beat them 2-1 with Nando getting both of our goals.

Figaro Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 have the Bushmills in a cabinet beside me too have had a quick few tapas and beers at lunch and the nerves are beginning to kick in... ... but FCSP (F eck, c*nt, sh*t, p*ss) I won't be able to see the game - serious concert/dinner... So another evening of running off every ten minutes and trying to find someone who knows the score
Knox_Harrington Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 (edited) Very concerned about tonight. These aren't mugs and will be very good from set pieces. EDIT: I think we'll get a score draw but it's going to be hard work. Edited February 21, 2006 by Knox_Harrington
beejay Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Hmm. Had the same feeling before both Leverkusen games last year. It's probably more to do with this tie being a banana skin and many of us celebrating when the draw was made, so now we've had the time to think about it, it will be no gimmee (and it won't). The thing I remember about the manu game in lisbon was that Benfica played with a very high tempo and Utd were far too cavalier when attacking meaning that if they lost the ball (which Ronaldo in particular did on countless occasions) they were wide open for the fast break. We have to play the game at our pace and draw them onto us so we are the counter-attacking team. They are a dangerous side with a pumped-up crowd so we have to be patient, ride the storm and take the chances when they inevitably come.
psl Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Feeling worryingly calm. "Its quiet, almost too quiet" kind of thing.

Utd had to win that game and where also in very poor form for that game. We are coming off three good results and clean sheets and against two of Europes better teams over the past 5 years. We also know how to play in these type of games and hopefully we can take any chances that come our way. I can see Crouch being an absolute nightmare for them tonight and Nando taking advantage of it.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I'm not that nervous, even if we lose I know we can do 'em at Anfield.
