Barnesy_10 Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Acomplished performance by the best full back in England. Had Kewell in his pocket and the unemplyed ones couldnt shake him in the slightest despite their best efforts. jesus christ...... is the tv signal that bad in London that they couldn't see how bad he actually is? I think its just that he was the best of a bad bunch... misplaced passes and looked frightened by the animosity the fans and players showed toward him... amazes me how blinkered some can be..

It definately affected him, he was crap. Finnan is miles ahead of him.
Benitez Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 but aren't you being blinkered as well there? He may be a twunt, but he's not exactly been crap over the years.

muleskinner Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Once Kewell had put him into the adverts he looked rattled for the rest of the game. Got forward a couple of times but he was poor, as were the rest of them. Hopefully he will get a huge fine in the week too. Happy Birthday you rat faced Manc c***.

Redwire Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Anyone see that banner in block 203 on the Kop at half time? "Gary Neville, you inbred c*nt. Five times" The bizzies at the front of the Kop went mental, talking into their radios, trying to get someone up there to confiscate it.
Redwire Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Redzion said: Ropers Banner That's the one. We were stood right next to it, until the steward had it off them. Maybe he was taking it to be an exhibit in the Anfield museum.
Joshytoohotty Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Neville is a very accomplished defender. However, he was woeful today which is basically down to the crowd. I'm not surprised either, try playing football when 39,000 people are booing you and singing about how you shag your mother. It's one thing to ignore 2,000 odd at Old Trafford but when he came here it was a different story, what goes around comes around and the inbred little c*** will get it every time he comes here now, even worse than he previously did.

On more than one occasion he was bullied by Kewell! Signs of a truly bad day!
Stevie H Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 the best full-back in england, by a significant distance, is steve finnan.
realtarragona Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I thought he did have Kewell in his pocket. Quite fomfortably. Although, needless to say, he's the best right back in England.
abc Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 I must have been watching a different match then. I thought Neville was pretty solid and Kewell never owned him the way some of you's are claiming.
stressederic Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 To be fair to Neville he was left horribly exposed at times against Kewell and Riise. We just kept passing round him in the first half. Actually, f*** being fair, he was s*** and Kewell pissed all over him.

Bigal Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 By the way, 3 things, Neville lost kewell for the header first half, neither Neville or Vidic went with crouch for his goal, and he left the cross that finnan should have scored from

Poolfrog Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Aeroflot said: Being consistently picked for the England first team, for 10 years, in that position would imply he is rated as the best english right back at least, right? I hate the guy but come on. If he's been the best English right back - debatable in itself - it doesn't say much about the competition. All he's got is an appetite for work. He wouldn't get near the squad in Italy, France, Germany etc and, to be honest, if he was right-back at somewhere unfashionable - Wigan, Bolton etc - he wouldn't have got a look-in either
