beejay Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 And we get to see the great man for at least one more year according to a snippet in the guardian " As part of a clause in his contract, the German midfielder Dietmar Hamann will be offered a new one-year deal if he faces Manchester United, who have not lost to Liverpool in the FA Cup for 85 years."
Andy-oh-six Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 classic Didi today. A great performance from him. With Momo next to him harrying everything it was a great display.
Benitez Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Didi, was fantastic. And, late on in the game, just when it was needed, we also got to see as perfect an example of the patented 'Hamann Crumple' as you'll ever see.
Beardsley Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Didi was sooooooo right for this game. Showed an abundance of experience. Absolutely top class today.
Ste M Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Absolute vintage Didi today, at his best he's as good as Makelele.
Mike Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Absolute vintage Didi today, at his best he's as good as Makelele. i'd f***ing ban you for that go and wash your mouth out.
Ste M Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 (edited) i'd f***ing ban you for that go and wash your mouth out. Hang on, I'll try again. At his best Makelele is as good as Didi Hamann. That better? Edited February 18, 2006 by Ste M
Mike Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Hang on, I'll try again. At his best Makelele is as god as Didi Hamann. That better? much better.but i'd prefer, at his best, makelele is nearly as good as didi hamann
Elisha_Scott Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 He was brilliant, Again. I'm made up as I think we are going to really need him more than people may think in the next couple of weeks.
hideNseek Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 He was brilliant, Again. I'm made up as I think we are going to really need him more than people may think in the next couple of weeks. You mean seasons, surely?
Jarg Armani Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Didi, was fantastic. And, late on in the game, just when it was needed, we also got to see as perfect an example of the patented 'Hamann Crumple' as you'll ever see. hehehe, i love the crumple!
anny road Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 He was brilliant, Again. I'm made up as I think we are going to really need him more than people may think in the next couple of weeks. i know how much we need him immense he was immense
SteveT Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 as perfect an example of the patented 'Hamann Crumple' as you'll ever see. "Vorsprung durch Technik.."
lawrie Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 He was brilliant, Again. I'm made up as I think we are going to really need him more than people may think in the next couple of weeks.[/quote That sounds SO ominous
Guest dannylad Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 (edited) I thought he was the best player on the park today. Awesome. He is already and will continue to be a great influence on momo which already is enough to keep him at the club for a least another two years imo. Sissoko was good today. Still parts of his game that need to improve - passing the most notable. I think he will be an exceptional player when he starts to peak in 3/4 years - having said that improvements could be made in all fairness he's 21 and only spent a bit over half a season in the premiership. The lad is class. I think our midfield is a winger short of being the best in the league. At the rate we are progressing we could put in a strong challenge next season. It'll be a nice problem to have when stevie, xabi, didi and momo are all wanting to play in the middle when the new wide men are brought in. Can we keep all of them happy?
anfield Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Quote from redcafe during the game"That Hamann is a f****** beast, our United players can't get the ball away from him"
intense enigma Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Anymore interesting snippets of the Bedlam in United forums? A little like the bitter Arsenal fans somebody posted a few days ago.
fyds Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 much better.but i'd prefer, at his best, makelele is nearly as good as didi hamann Indeedy - in games like that Didi contributes across a wider range than Makele. He had a classic Hamann game today - if Klinsman doesn't pick him he's nuts. And Momo - my god what a snip that lad is proving already - in three years time I shudder to think how good he could and probably will be.
anny road Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 oh well.....we get on with it...Alonso, Sissoko and Didi will have to put in the performances they have been I could tell Gerrard hasnt been right...he has been playing in Spurts
Swipe Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Maybe a wee rest will do SG good. The four of them across the middle of the park were awesome today. The way they dominated Uniteds midfield was almost brutal.
stressederic Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Ah well that explains a lot. SG: "Hey Harry you got a moment?" HK: "Whats up?" SG: "My thigh isn't feeling great to be honest." HK: "Ah nasty one." SG: "Yeah and to make it worse Gary Neville is on the other side of the pitch. I won't get to t*** him." HK: "Ah damn thats a shame." SG: "Could you do the honours?" HK: "Hmmm there's an interesting idea." SG: "I heard he used to knock one out whilst watching your missus on Emerdale." HK: "Die Inbred!"
Paul_LFC Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Didi is a star, he could play till his late 30s and still be brilliant, his game doesn't need pace at all and never really has done. I'm delighted that because of him playing today, he has finally got his new contract. I love the way he just gets about his business in his usual Didi way. He seems like a top bloke too. Alongside Sami as Houllier's best signing.
