Bootle Buck Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 My cable channel has a live FA Cup game scheduled at Noon Eastern time. Is that our game as our KO is 7:30 am I thought. Surely they aren't going to charge us for another tape delayed game are they.
SkippyjonJones Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 yeah, the bucking fastards. The only 7.30 game this season they'll charge us for. Hope they all get syphilis expect they already did one earlier int he season.and the fact that the Man city game is a 7.30 ppv
Nebraska Red Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 you miserable barstewards. we have done very well already this season. according to FSC, they get told which FA Cup games are PPV and which ones are free to view. They have no control whatsoever in choosing the games. From a fiscal point of view, the people who own the rights stand to make more money from LFC-Mancs than any other game. don't forget, there is always the internet if you want it free.
SkippyjonJones Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 my information is that Fox pick the games. However setanta have said that nearly all games will involve Mancs/us/arsenal/ chelsea as they are the only ones to draw enough of an audience to make it worthwhile.

I don't have a problem paying for it if it is live but to cough up $20 for a tape delay is robbery. If I could ever get a decent stream I would watch it on Chinese TV. My cable Co. has it on at Noon. Nebraska Red Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Yep, it disappeared off my cable guide a couple of days ago. My "friend" at the bar we use has no intention of opening up for the live service, but he will open for the tape delay at 11am for the usual fee. I think I'll pass on that as the place will be full of Mancs. I might pop in and scream out the score ,just after kick off, as long as we win.
