Wow, I thought we get downright doom and gloomy after a defeat. They're not handling their fall from grace very well at all.

looks alot like this place after the Man U, Brum Chav and Charlton games.

sub Morientes for Henry and it could be a Liverpool website.

most of them are right though, Wenger has held on to some players just a bit too long but they have been crippled by injuries.

they need to get Adams, Keown & Winterburn back in defence.

It's not a bad site, they've even got a stickied thread in their general football forum for Stevieboy. They're good lads, the gooners.

Why doesn't Wenger get more criticism? He is a brilliant manager but the way they have fallen from the team they were 2 years ago, even 12 months ago is shocking. Atleast last year when we were in the same position Rafa was in his first season, this is what, Wenger's 10th? When a*** do badly it's because they're a team in transition, too many youngsters, injuries etc. When most other teams do badly the manager gets stick for bad buys and not getting the most out of his players (which is a rarity for Wenger but still the case this year).

The guy who says Wenger has been a coward this year is a bit harsh but probably true. They came for a draw today and didnt get it, played 451 at home to Man United against a central midfield of Fletcher & O'Shea, have looked toothless away from home etc.

Was just thinking that, especially with the whole "Henry doesn't care, he is a bad captain" and saying he is going to leave. If I'm honest, and I may get flamed, if we don't win it then I'd like to see Arsenal win it.

I must admit, in previous seasons I've really enjoyed watching the type of football Arseanal have played. Fast, expansive interplay. I was really shocked watching them tonight. Pires anonymous; Henry detached from the rest of the team; their whole midfield over-run.

I was thinking during play that there's no way Henry will stick around given the current circs. Without him they are really f***ed

omg I just read that an arsenal fan just said Henry's rubbish and only good against small teams!

By the looks of things on that forum there seems to be a split with those backing wenger and those against. Remind you of something familiar?

But then again I am looking at what I am reading on this forum, so I wouldnt know if there is a pro/anti wenger polarisation developing in general with the arsenal fandom

Imagine the fall out if they don't qualify for European competition.

people keep saying their stadium finances mean they need to be in the champions league every year to make their payments.

Shame its not chelsea or Man U.

think theyll win the european cup also??

god i hope not

No not a cat in hell's chance. Altho' there are similarities between LFC last season and Arsenal this as regards the league, we always looked capable of keeping a clean sheet, I don't think Arsenal are and in any case Arsene Wenger has never had a Plan B.

Yep, 2 years ago they were the "best side ever in the English league" © the s***ty press.

I think that while Wenger's bought a lot of good young talent through, he's failed to provide that middle rank of established good players to anticipate where he was going to need them while the next generation learn their craft. maybe. not that arsed really.

I thought they were pitiful last night. Henry was laughing and joking with Sami in the first few minutes and didn't look @sred all night. The rest of the snior players were invisible. They only turn on the style at home when they play an awful team like Boro or Everton were they can put 7 past them and play exhibition stuff. When the chips are down and they have to battle they just haven't shown up all season.

I thought it was one of the worst away performances I've seen at Anfield - EVER. They were a joke, I'd be absolutely gutted with that performance if I was an Arsenal fan at the moment.

and on that same post we have

"Liverpool are so dire. The problem is that the rest of the title 'challengers' are just as dire (ManU) or worse (us). The Prem has become a very average competition.

Liverpool are a team with a slow defence, no strikers and crap wingers. If we had a midfield yesterday we would have battered them. What did they do that was so exceptional? Hoof the ball up to Morientes?"

I still think Arsenal will get 4th anyway. Although i guess, Spurs don't have the Yeropean 'distraction', so can do an Everton!

Anyway, these are their remaining league games, I guess that game on April 22 could be a big one!

Arsenal's remaining games:

25-Feb-06 A Blackburn Rovers

04-Mar-06 A Fulham

12-Mar-06 H Liverpool

18-Mar-06 H Charlton Athletic

25-Mar-06 A Portsmouth

01-Apr-06 H Aston Villa

09-Apr-06 A Manchester United

15-Apr-06 H West Bromwich Albion

17-Apr-06 A Manchester City

22-Apr-06 H Tottenham Hotspur

29-Apr-06 A Sunderland

07-May-06 H Wigan Athletic

Spurs remaining games:

19-Feb-06 H Wigan Athletic

05-Mar-06 H Blackburn Rovers

11-Mar-06 A Chelsea

18-Mar-06 A Birmingham City

27-Mar-06 H West Bromwich Albion

01-Apr-06 A Newcastle United

08-Apr-06 H Manchester City

15-Apr-06 A Everton

17-Apr-06 H Manchester United

22-Apr-06 A Arsehal

29-Apr-06 H Bolton Wanderers

07-May-06 A West Ham United

Bran, I'd be inclined to go with Bolton and/or Spurs finishing ahead of them. Bolton have two games in hand on them and, as you say, Spurs have no Yerp.

My mate Neil's old man watched the game on sky and apparentlt when Lehmann and Jerzy were chatting at the end of the game Lehmann said, and the camera picked it up 'we are not as good as we were' or something like that.

When I got in I saw that bit but couldn't quite make it out but it certainly sounded like he said it.
