anny road Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Fowlers movement and touch are getting there.....he was great today Momo runs too much..he makes me f***ing tired Lehmann....has he been on a nice pill? He was great tonight and he appluaded the Kop at HT and the end which I thought was nice Henry searched Fowler out and asked for his shirt at the end

Fowler is being worked like a dog in training, probably chasing Momo!! Lehmann and Henry are both on their way out of Arsenal, last league game at Anfield????

CarraLegend Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Fowlers movement and touch are getting there.....he was great today Defo, the lad will get there. Think I read the other day he hasnt played 90minutes in over a year, which says it all really about his injuries etc that he's had. He'll defo be alright goal wise.

Makes one wonder what Citeh were up to with him for the last 6 months or so. I know he was injured, but surely they could have forced him to do some weights or something. What did they do when he turned up for training every morning ? send him home with a T-bone, a bag of Oven chips and a 6 pack ? Seems to be that they just didn't give a toss about him and left him to do as he likes.
Earl Hafler Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Early on in the first half the ball was on our left, about 40 yards from goal. Fowler made a move towards the penalty spot then dropped off, ran towards the fullback and then back in towards goal to meet the cross...defenders didn't have a ****ing clue what was happening. If Cisse had an ounce of that instinct and awareness he'd be a player.
Knox_Harrington Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 If Cisse had an ounce of that instinct and awareness he'd be a player. If he had an ounce of yours for noticing it he'd be getting somewhere...

dorgie Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 It was a back injury wasn't it? You can't really do anything when you hurt your back. Fair enough point I suppose. Just seems amazing that he was back in their squad since early January and his physical condition seemed miles off what it should have been and obviously Rafa's first priority has been to get that right.

I'd like to see him alongside Crouchy, he'd actually anticipate the knockdowns something which Morientes and Cisse dont seem to often do. Just realised another thing, be interesting to see what we do with Robbie now as he cant play on Saturday, im not sure Rafa would start him away to Benfica as we may go 1 up front and then he cant play against Man City either, hopefully he'll get a game in the ressies to keep him going or maybe we'll just keep him training really hard.

Not really, he wasnt out of contract or a free transfer picked up from no club, he was a player that City let go for no fee. On the day he signed it was on their website how it was part of the deal that he couldnt play against them.
