Benitez Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 He didn't break sweat tonight. Pathetic performance from a team captain. The only energy he gave up was clapping his hands to applaud offside passes and passes he feced up
Herbie von Smalls Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 arsenal may be forced to sell him the way things are going. they're not looking too good for a big champs' league pay-out this season and may not even make the champs' league qualifiers for next season. happy days. i'd be glad to see arsenal enter another period of mediocrity.
Guest Red Mist Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Wenger is losing the plot a bit but he's not helped by injuries to both fullbacks and Sol's head going screwy. I would hate to imagine what life for us would be like without Finnan, Riise and Carra.Van persie is a good player, they've missed him but their midfield is awful, they have to sort it out. I've never rated Gilberto, he's the most un-Brazillian Brazillian ever to have played football, absolutely awful footballer. Pires and Ljunberg are crap too. Wenger's got a lot of work to do to fix the team up.
Atticus Finch Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 2 points - first Henry (not just tonight but for a few weeks) seems to have the on-pitch attitude Owen did in his final season with us and we all know how that ended. Second arsenal's experienced players are around the periphery of the team - keeper, up front, wings. They seriously lack experience where it counts - in the middle of defence and middle of midfield and that is what is costing them.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Feckin Pires was the worst tonight. I didn't even realize he was playing until he got subbed. As far as player ratings would go, that would be about a 2/10 & I can't even justify that
growler Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 the problem for them is heart. our 'heart' is carra and gerrard. chelsea have terry and lampard, newcastle have shearer, man u have had keane, neville, and now rooney to provide that. Arsenal do not have that. There is no affinity with the players and fans. Once Henry leaves, then what is left? the mark of a true manager is what he leaves behind. Once wenger leaves, what will he leave behind? nothing.
