The geordie job is a bigger attraction than made out - win just one trophy and you'll be treated like a god up there. But that has been their Credo for nearly 40 years! From Iam McFaul to Shay Given, Bobby Moncur to Emre, Pop Robson to Kieron Dyer, John Tudor to Alan Shearer and Malcolm Mac Donald to Michael owen - and they STILL have nothing to show for it except major debt!!

Even better now. The barcodes' campaign and glossary brochure lauding Hitzfeld starts to gain some publicity with local media and on the stands etc, fat freddie says they are all bent and accused them of fraud as they are only doing it as an organised betting scam.

Think he originally agreed to take that job before Klinsmann was offered it but then changed his mind.

He suggested himself various times for that job as a 'logical consequence'. That's why everyone was quite surprised that he declined the offer, when Völler stepped down.

 

He still draws his salary - actually more money than the current Bayern coach Magath earns - so, why should he be bothered to work.
