I don't mind him scoring in games you've already won, performances like his today contribute to the myth that he's a world class player. In reality he's a bottler who can't hack a challenge. He'll be s**** against us (he said hopefully...)

Hopefully not as s*** as he was against us last year at Sold Trafford

21 year old, one of the most promising talents in europe, has had a piss poor season so far, still he has scored 3 more premiership goals than cisse and crouch, who are your top scoring strikers. same amount of premiership goals as gerrard.

So he's better than Gerrard then?

hey, with your playing style, even watching paint dry would be considered as marvellous entertainment.

yesterday was a pointer to what a player he could be

he is a great talent who usually shows very little end product..which his own team mates apparantly have told him recently in no uncertain terms

consistency is what he needs.

he was class in the pre-season, scoring goals and setting up chances, showed how far he had come. start of the season was ruined due to his fathers death, shortly followed by the rape allogations.

whilst he did have personal problems, i dont think that can explain it all

he is unfuriating...he rarely delivers when needed......and as I said...I know certain pro's at United let there feelings known to him not so long ago with the managers approval

20 year old at the time, fathers death and rape allogations, are you saying that stuff like that wont effect a young player ? he was brilliant in our pre-season, something happened after that.

its not exactly unknown, and they were right to do so. fergie has to keep telling him what to do, give him spesific tasks, ronnie is not ready to be given a free role in the team.

it will get much better when we eventually bring in a couple of midfielders that can take advantage of our wingers, our replacements for the replacements for the replacements cant pick out anyone with a cutting pass, little do they know what a cutting pass actually is.

why ? it was just a "i dont think"..anyone who has watched ronaldo knows how he plays when he`s in top form and when he`s in poor form.

when he`s in poor form, he starts showboating and goes down easily, whinging and not producing anything for the team, looks like the player he was when he first arrived and as if he hasnt learned anything at all. when he`s in top form, he produces for the team, gets up after getting tackled and doesnt wine, he actually shows his progress since he joined.

he was in great form from last christmas all the way down to the beginning of the new season, one of our most important players alongisde rooney. something big happened that brought him down, fathers death and rape allogations arent things that should be taken lightly, he didnt even want more time away from the pitch, spent a total of 3 days away after his fathers death. that had a big influence on him.

when thats said, its nearly impossible to say that its one or the other.

im giving him the benefit of the doubt due to his young age and immense talent, two major events happened in his life within a short period of time. i hope that the next season will start in a better way.

his first season: given to much playing time, was supposed to cover for other right wing alternatives, though due to injury, we were forced to play with ronaldo and fletcher on the side.

second season: horrible start to the season, he got no break due to the euro and that useless olympic football they wanted him in.

third season: horrible start, fathers death and rape allogations.

fourth season will be interesting

Ronaldo just winds me up when I watch him, he's always trying to pull a trick or take 5 extra stepovers.

Now I know Garcia is hardly Shearer like in his ability to hold up the ball, and tries as many flicks as anyone, but it strikes me that when he's giving it a little flick on, he's trying to make something happen, its progressive, even if he gives the ball away.

Ronaldo just seems to do tricks for the sake of doing them, and because he's run out of other ideas, and then invariably gives the ball away or throws himself to the ground.

Flicks and tricks are fine, fans enjoy seeing them, but only if there's some sort of end result from it, just continually trying to do stepovers until your tackeled is useless.

WTF are all the Mancs re-appearing from ? One lucky goal from cokehead and you think you have better medium to long term prospects than us. Still I guess you need somewhere to post on those long, lonely European nights eh :D

we do have better medium to long term prospects than you do.

how the f*** do you make that out? especially considering the current finanical set-up at old trafford.

for the record i think an on-form ronaldo can be a fearsome opponent, but he's inconsistent - as last season proved, before all his 'woes'
