I get a kick out of the fact that most stadiums have big screens showing the game. Players routinely look up and watch an effort they just had. However, a ref can't look up and see a blatant dive, bad tackle, bad penalty decision, off the ball incident or blatant offside and change his decision rather than ruin the whole game. Last night for instant on watching the penalty incident the ref could have changed his mind. That decision in a nutshell changed the whole outcome of that game.

I thought that the big screens weren't supposed to show any possibly inflammatory incidents?

Kromkamp, Kromkamp Kromkamp.

All teams do it, its f***ing embarrassing that we keep banging on about this Arjen Robben thing. If we'd been good enough to get the three points then I might just give a s***. Did it alter the course of the game ? Was it any different to other incidents where our players have taken a tumble ?

Reina raised his hands, its a sending off. thats all there is to it.

I agree, I was simply using last week as an example. Reina raised his hand, but there's no excuse for Robben's dramatics.

i was chuffed to see the other day that keith hackett has decided to nick my idea for fast-tracking ex- and failed players to become top flight referees. plagiarising tosser.

It's not embarrassing we're going on about Robben - players who get other players sent off are f*cking despicable.

I'm not even being biased in saying it - I find it hugely embarrassing and equally annoying when our players do it, Sissoko and Kromkamp in particular this season.

They want to start acting like men, not crying little girls.

Cardinal Fang of the church of Andygrayism I presume?

Paul Walsh was preaching from the Book Of Grayisms the other night.

I'd love Gray to do a phone in show.

" Andy, could you just read a couple of rules for me ? "

click.

" Hello ? Andy ? "

I have the solution.

They need to review every game played and every instance of possible simulation. Then they should punish retrospectively and produce a weekly league table of who are the worst culprits. Name and shame, so to speak. The reviewing panel must be ex or current players.

Take last Sunday, Reina was sent off, nothing you can do now about it, but Robben should have been punished this week.

There.

Basically right, but no need for the League table - just hand out 3 match bans.

I'd like to see cheating clamped down on too but we'd be getting punished just as regularly as most other teams. And I wouldn't exactly call it the 'cancer'. There's plenty of worse things in football. Like money, and in particular how it's distributed between the larger and smaller clubs. But I doubt we'll be complaining about that.
