After the England game at Villa Park when Carras dad got threw out unfairly, Jamie was leaving the ground and was stopped by Sky Sports reporters who asked if they could have a few words, he obliged of course and answered their questions, then the reporter asked him

' What did Sven say to you after the game Jamie?'

Carras reply ' Your old fellas been banged up lad'

Saw this on TLW earlier.

don't know if this has been posted here had a quick look and couldn't see anything, apologies if it has. but just been on the RAdio city site and saw this.

Just a couple of weeks after he was given the Freedom of Sefton - Jamie Carragher's back in the headlines for yet another good deed.

This time the Liverpool star has come to the rescue of one of his biggest fans.

Steve Yardley saved up to see the Reds in action in the World Club Championships - but when he lost his passport he was stranded in Japan.

It cost him a small fortune to get home - but Carra sent him 16 hundred pounds cash in an envelope so he wouldn't be out of pocket

The legend that is Carra just grows and grows. well in Jamie lad.

Legend.

Heard a story about Philly just on Sunday.

A few of a my mates go on the Oakie coach with The Irregulars, and they were taking a piss in the services when Philly walks in.

Philly knew a fair few of the other lads on the coach and started talking whilst everyone was having a piss.

My mates were stood there as he told a joke, and everyone started laughing.... apart from them. They couldn't understand a f***ing word he'd said, and these 2 are as Scouse as they come!!!

And before anyone brings up the north/south divide, one was a southender, but the other was a northender!!

And yes.... Carra is a legend!!

My brother played with Philly and his brother (I think Fran) for Bootle FC back in the 70's they were both sound fella's and decent players. Whenever he sees Philly today he always has a good laugh and chat about "Our Jamie". I'm glad he got to go to Istanbul.
