Tyler Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 At least we don't have to wait too long for the next game. I wonder if Rafa will freshen it up on Wednesday and introduce some new faces I'd like to see Gerrard back in the centre with Alonso and Garcia and Kewell out wide with Crouch and Robbie up front riise in at left back
Lee W Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I don't think we can afford to play away from home, without some pace upfront - which seemed painstakingly obvious last season when Nando was upfront on his own against Citeh, and then we saw yesterday how Chelsea pushed up on us with Crouch as the lone swordsmen. I'd probably go with the Has-Been () and Cisse on goals just for variety and I'm guessing Hamann and Agger will start too. Then again, I would've stuck Gerrard up top supporting Crouch yesterday so what the hell do I know.
Bootle Buck Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Charlton are a very inconsistant team and are there for the taking. I would love to see us pressure them from the off. I would start Crouch, Fowler and Garcia from the off. I would restore Stevie and Xabi in the middle with Kewell on the left and Riise at LB.

And id start hamman and momo in midfield , with kewell on the left(our best player at the moment) and kromkamp on the right. Gerrard needs a rest.
