Didn't sound as vociferous as usual.

Far be it from me to criticise any of our lads who travel far and wide to support us, they are absolutely phenomenal most of the time, heroes. Just sounded a bit quieter than you'd expect yesterday, from what you can tell on the TV of course.

Don't know if anyone who went could correct me, or would agree. They'd know better than me as I'm in my armchair mostly for the away stuff...

I lovedthe irony of the chelsea mob doing "Shall we sing a song for you?"

All I heard for most of the first half was our lot, and intermittently thereafter. Thought our lot did really well.

The most ironic thing was when it was 0-0 we were singing alot, and when they went 1-0 they sung you only sing when you are winning.

Thats cos Chelsea fans have no songs so all they can do is the chants they hear on match of the day.

t***s every single one of them.

Yet again we play Chelsea and Gerrard and Lampshade were both s***. I think they both get confused and keep looking for guidance from Sven.

We were pretty loud and non stop, certainly in the first half.

You can't tell s*** from the tele - that depends on where the mikes are.

Listen to the match at Old Trafford from the other week, compared to being there for example!!

I thought it was pretty good yesterday from where I was in the Upper tier. Tailed off a bit in the second half but all in all pretty good. In fact, the first half an hour was great fun.

"If you're European CHampions clap your hands" sounded great.

:D Yes, indeed it did, as did the feck off Cheelsea FC song. Like I said, for 30 minutes it was a right good day out.

They've never had any songs. Back in the 60s/early 70s, The 'Big Match' was London ITV's football highlights show on a Sunday afternoon, with Brian Moore as a presenter. When Chelsea reached the FA Cup Final (1970?), the Big Match organised a competition asking viewers to write an 'anthem' for Chelsea as the poor dears didn't have a song of their own and their feckwit supporters clearly didn't have the wit to make one up. The winning entry was that feckin awful "Blue is the colour, football is the game" dirge.

I think thats because the Times had forgotten to include the Chelsea song sheet in the lifestyle magazine on sunday morning - they did however, recieve their free DVD copy of The Remains of the Day so all was not lost.

Can anyone who was there confirm whether or not they were singing 'Heysel', 'Hillsborough' and 'Murderers'? Mate of mine swears that thye were.

Not that I heard - not heard anyone else claim that either.

Thought "We made John Terry cry" was spot on.

Fair enough. Figured I would have heard a lot more about it if it had happened, so thought I'd better ask before pointing the finger!

Guess this lad was mistaken, as he wasn't there. I assume he meant fans at the ground and not knobs in some oub he was watching in, but could be wrong.

Totally agree. Who are these people to comment on our fans whether they were loud or not? Were they there? No? Well if you weren't what are you trying to say because these posts are just veiled criticisims. Disgraceful.

I went and thought it was the atmos crap, just my opinion.

Was in the stand for about 20 mins in the first half mind, so maybe it was rocking the rest of the time.

Surely the rule should be, if you didn't bother going don't comment on the fan's performance? It was quite good actually

Well I lost my flamin' voice anyway. Sorry if it wasn't good enough ;)

All I could hear was us singing until the second goal went in.

I know. All the original post did was ask was whether it was loud or not because he felt it didn't sound it on the TV. The poster even mentioned the fact that he couldn't be sure because you can't rea;lly tell on TV. He freely admitted that he doesn't go to aways, which is why he was asking.

He was hardly pasing criticism and actually invited people to correct him if he was wrong (which some have had he was, one has said he wasn't). It certainly not 'veiled criticism', so I have no idea why we have had such a precious reaction to such innocent comments .
