Carvallho's Elbow on Kewell....

Was the ball not in play when this happened inside the box ? If it was as appeared to be the case then why did he stop play and order a retake of the corner for carvalho's foul on Kewell rather than awarding a penalty , he had obviously seen the foul to be talking to him about it ? Result aside , i was baffled by this when it happened and still am now , by the way did anyone notice Gudjohnsens handball to knock it in front of Reina before he cleanly tackled him ??? thus making it a Liverpool freekick anyway ?

 

The only saving grace i can take from today is we are clearly the better footballing side , Chelsea play on a crap pitch , counter attack and look for percentage balls , deflections and dive at every given oppurtunity . hate them more than i hate the scum to be honest .

The Foul on Cisse 2nd Half was Obvious but play carried on , but the problem is the foul on Kewell halted play so why was it not a penalty ??

Instead of going on about it, perhaps we should learn from it. Had Riise blocked off Gallas' run for the 1st goal, like Carvallhio & Terry constantly do, then Gallas wouldn't have got to the ball first.

Two penalties went amiss today, the Carvalho one and the one where Cisse was heing held down.

 

The one thing that gets me though is that maybe we are too nice. I hate teams that surround the ref but today Chelsea were as often first to the referee than they were first to anything else. They contested every decision and it's not the first time that we have seen teams that doe this get decisions coming their way over the course of the game.

 

By the same token, I lost count the number of times their man stayed down until a card / decision had been given then got straight up.

 

They are a g******* team with worldclass players and alehouse mentality.

 

Perhaps if a few of ours had made sufficient fuss over the Carvalho non-decision the fact the ball was in play would have been brought to the refs attention and the correct decision made.

All they do is dive, cheat and foul. Even "Hardman" John Terry was doing it yesterday, when we were having a good spell at the start of the 2nd half he was barely touched yet stayed down for about 45 seconds just to break up play a bit. They're embarassing.
