Guest prophet Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Whos yer player who was in the news of joining but have not joined that you have least regrets about. This is especially the player with repute as well Mine must be monsieur Bum-song i thought he was the real deal when he was in the frencvh ligue....apparently not!he must be one of the worst if not THE WORST CB in the PL!Thank God he did not joined us!
Montse Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I actually agree with Lauro for once... Lawrenson questions Souness moves Boumsong and Babayaro were both signed by Souness Mark Lawrenson has criticised former team-mate Graeme Souness for his perseverance with defenders Jean-Alain Boumsong and Celestine Babayaro. Newcastle sacked Souness on Thursday after one point from six games but there was no sympathy from Lawrenson. "The worse Boumsong became the more pig-headed and determined Souness was to dig his heels in and keep on playing him," Lawrenson told the Daily Mirror. "Boumsong has become the biggest joke in the Premiership." Lawrenson, who played with Souness at Liverpool, said Boumsong was "costing the team goals and points" and was not much more complimentary about Babayaro. "Souness had assembled a half-decent midfield and his attack is good but they stand no chance with such a poor defence. The Frenchman (Boumsong) has become one of the worst players in the Premiership. "And it doesn't stop there. Fancy bringing in Celestine Babayaro to strengthen your defence. He doesn't know the meaning of the word." Souness signed Boumsong from Rangers for £8m in 2005 and also brought in Babayaro, from Chelsea for £1m. There have been some seriously dogdy dealings but this takes the biscuit. So glad we didnt go for him! Hell I'd even prefer Josemi at CB!
Scally Bob Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 (edited) It has to be that maggot Bowyer. Edited February 4, 2006 by Scally Bob
Guest prophet Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Costing Barcodes goals and points are..................... Bum-song and Bum-ble.......the twins CB of Newcastle
Earl Hafler Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 It has to be that maggot Bowyer. Bowyer definitely. Cannot believe the amount of people who wanted him to join. Oh, and Jody Morris...
Bailo Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Bowyer definitely. Cannot believe the amount of people who wanted him to join. Oh, and Jody Morris...I wanted Bowyer to join, purely because he was utter class the last 2 seasons. And as we've seen recently, not all footballers are angels. Glad we didn't succeed mind!

Bailo Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 so if someone of Hitlers character and Peles footballing talent was available you wouldnt mind him in a red shirt.. btw has to be Bowyer for meWhat exactly was Bowyer convicted of? I've seen plenty of people advocating signing Woodgate, who was actually convicted of something in that trial. And the trial judge was very explicit in his orders that it wasn't a racist attack. He's a horrid little s***, but it's what we needed at the time. And your comparison of Bowyer to Hitler is laughable.
madaboutlfc Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 What exactly was Bowyer convicted of? It was not just that incident.. hes a racist c*** whose past stands up to that besides that leeds incident..comparison to Hitler is not laughable as by your logic you wouldnt mind signing someone of that ilk

But you feel free to call him that anyway, what are courts and juries for anyway? My logic is I don't know everything about a player before they join and at the time what I did know didn't put me off us signing him. He was absolute top class that season and the one before, if he could have kept that up he'd be a England regular now. Edited February 4, 2006 by SuperDjibril
CarraLegend Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 comparison to Hitler is not laughable Yes it is and ridiculous.
StevieC Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 so if someone of Hitlers character and Peles footballing talent was available you wouldnt mind him in a red shirt.. btw has to be Bowyer for me We had Tommy Smith... and I can quite happily seperate the man from the talent (like listening to Wagner) but in this case that's not necessary because Bowyer is an over rated little schit. 9 million quid FFS.
5InIstanbul Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 comparison to Hitler is not laughable Yes, it most certainly is. Jesus feckin' christ.... I hope, for your sake, you are not serious.
Cisse Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Having watched B'burn-Scum on Wednesday, I can't decide between Evra and Vidic. Long live King JAR and the Mighty Agger
lawrie Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 surprised by the Anelka one - I think he would have continued to do well for us
