SkippyjonJones Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I?m getting sick of all the PPV ? we are subsidizing the whole f***ing channel.Tottenham, Mancs, Chelsea, Mancs again. Give it a f***ign break will you?
SkippyjonJones Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 and the benfica game will be on PPV as well.
Nebraska Red Posted February 3, 2006 Author Posted February 3, 2006 we will all have to get online and watch it on dodgy Chinese TV. i don't mind paying $20 for the Manc game, but I am not paying $20 for the Chelski game. The local bar/pub is not open for the game this Sunday as they are preparing the place for the Super Bowl later in the day. I asked the manager if he would open for the Manc game and he just laughed when I told him the kick off time.
Bootle Buck Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 This month's cable bill will be $200 at this rate. I have a feeling this will be a bore draw again. But as usual I will break down and pay the $20.I would rather FSC charge a premium and include the PPV's for an extra $10 a month rather than $20 a pop.
anfield Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 (edited) pissing me off, why do the canadians get it for free. They shoudl suffer just like us The only reason I am getting a whole extra tier of channels is for fox soccer Edited February 3, 2006 by anfield

They shoudl suffer just like us The only reason I am getting a whole extra tier of channels is for fox soccer Same here... only reason I shell out the $12/mo for the sports package on DirecTV is for FSC. Couldn't care less about the other channels (although I might say differently about ESPNU when we get to the NFL draft and to NCAA lacrosse). But I'll probably shell out the $20 for the Chelski game, even if everything tells me not to.
BDB Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 buy the season pass like I did. on directv, then no worries.. also have a sub to setanta.. for uefa which is a rip at $11/month
SkippyjonJones Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 also have a sub to setanta.. for uefa which is a rip at $11/month I could do that - or I could bunk off work early and go down the pub to watch games on setanta. I prefer option b
anfield Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 stop whinging or I'll give you my story about the bad old days before FSW/FSC. do you have any idea how long I went without watching a live game? we're talking 8 years here
harpoon Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 plus us Canadians don't get FA Cup games on TV for free, so it balances out.
BDB Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I could do that - or I could bunk off work early and go down the pub to watch games on setanta. I prefer option b Stupid lunchtime meetings, damn east coasters scheduling meetings at noon west coast time, so I'm working from home and signed in while watching. Other option is wireless in the pub, but Id look like a plonker!
