Guest LeeParkie Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Or should Rafa maybe play Kewell up front??
Molby Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 depends on the rest of the team eg Crouch and Moro need two wide players hugging the wings certainly for the first part of the game I can see either Kewell or Garcia up front with Crouch at the beginning
dodgy1 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Got to be Fowler and Crouch for me. Morientes offers f*** all i dont see the point. If (when) Fowler gets tired throw Cise on.

ricflairandy Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 id like to see fowler and kewell with riise or garcia wide left
Guest LeeParkie Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Do you think Rafa will start Fowler and Crouchy against Charlton???
Molby Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Do you think Rafa will start Fowler and Crouchy against Charlton???depends on Fowler's fitness personally I think it would be a big ask of Robbie as our play may gravitate toward lots of flick ons and converesly, Crouch would not be my choice of playing partner to get played in by Fowler; I would prefer Nando (penalty box know how, possibly in the dark recesses of his memory) or Cisse (allegedly quick and sharp) I would revert to 4-4-2 with Crouch and Nando and make sure that Kewell and Gerrard got plenty of crosses in and Riise and Finnan overlapped; that's what brought us success in the recent past and that system is easy to tinker with (Garcia can come on, Cisse can go wide right, Gerrard can go in the middle etc etc)
Billy Dane Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Think Crouch needs a rest and although Morientes scored a great goal against Charlton last year wouldn't play him either. I'd start with Fowler and Cisse, with the option to bring on Crouch or push Kewell/Garcia up front when Robbie's knackered.

crisps Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 fowler because he can score...cisse because he does have pace although maybe not much else
Coyler Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Fowler and Crouch for me, give it a lash Rafa. And keep Kewell way, way out there on the wing, he's been doing good stuff out there. Luis García on the right. Them two plus Fowler have immense football brains and Crouch isn't embarrassed in that department either so they would excite me. I'd say they're dying to play together too. Moro to come on when we're 0-2 up for Fowler -- more brains, run rings round a demoralized and Charlton defence, gets his annual goal at the same ground. 0-4.
Guest Young Casey Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 crouch and nando at the mo, but once he is fit Robbie and another depending on who we are playing.
