Whilst sacking Souness is undoubtedly correct, hiring him in the first place was a HUGE error.

Fat Freddie is a horrible, odious lump-wouldn't want him as Chairman of a Sunday XI!

Looked mostly like they sacked uncle Bobby without having a replacement lined up and Souness (who at the time was doing his best to ruin Blackburn IIRC) was the best they could eventually come up with. Great way to run a club
