How did you think he did?

 

Personally, I thought he had yet another poor game. Got the red card right but then he seemed to decide that he had to even it up by not awarding us a clear penalty for a push in the back. I hate to see this guy in charge of our games

 

Was the tackle on LG as he ran into the box a foul? I didnt think the defender touched the ball

I think his performance was summed up by the moment he resolutely refused to get out of the way of Alonso when he was trying to beat a man and reach the box.

 

The prick just stood there with his hands clamped behind his back, disrupting the play and made both players go around him.

Terrible ref. His only 'credit' was that he was as unfair to them as he was us. Well, apart from the Fowler goal, obviously.

A typically poor performance from Rennie.

 

If he doesn't think it's a foul on Garcia he has to book him for a dive...but he doesn't

And the other incident was a blatant push in the back.

 

 

Have watched most of the highlights of tonights games and you can see why players get so disgusted with refs. One ref cautions for diving, the other doesn't. One ref cautions for a handball in the penalty area but doesn't caution for a handball in midfield.

The terrace always picks up on a ref having a bad game. It did tonight. Grumbles all game about this ref.

Personally, I think he was wrong about the red card. Yellow, sure, but having seent he replays it doesn't look like a straight red to me. Of course, at the match I thought it was an swesome decision.

 

Another one I didn't get, though, was when someone (Alonso? not sure) was brought down from behind when entering the box. Looked like a foul to me, but the ref must have decided the Brum player got the ball. How, then, was it a goal kick? If the Brum player got the ball, it was a corner, surely.

 

It seems that cuddling the ball on the ground isn't classed as handball, too. At least, that's what it looked like in block MW.

 

Overall, rubbish ref. It won't be long before he's relegated from the Premiership refs again, I hope.

Johnson should not have gone for that tackle. Poor decision. It was a yellow card and if it was one of our players who had been sent off for that the howls of derision for Rennie wouldn't stop...

The Johnson one was certainly not a red, but to be fair when it happened, it did look nasty due to Agger's reaction.

 

Cant say Rennie vindicated himself with his overall performance.

 

Right up there with Poll, Riley and the rest of the self absorbed t***s.

It's as if every decision he makes is based on some kind of multiple choice and he's just guessing his way through it.

I was *right* behind the Kop goal - and how he didn't award any of the THREE obvious penalties is beyond me.

 

He is a terrible Ref.

VERY Obvious handball on the floor - pushing the ball out of danger

 

VERY obvious push on Finnan as he jumped to head the ball

 

VERY obvious hack-down of Garcia in the area

 

 

Rennie is a complete muppet. Shouldn't be allowed to even referee under 5s matches.
