Watching the first half tonight online and again he's off the pace of the game.

I know he works hard off the ball and around the box but he doesn;t seem to be creating any chances for himself or able to win the big physical challenges and his pace or lack of is a problem.

I've been waiting a long time for him to kick into gear but it doesn;t look like happening any time soon.

knowing me he;ll go and have the 2nd half of his life and prove me totally wrong.

here's hoping, but i doubt it.

bring on the god..

Why worry. If he doesn't do enough then Rafa will move him on and we'll get another player.

I haven't seen enough from him either but its pointless fretting over. Rafa improves us each transfer window.

Fair point, we should get 2nd place anyway, just disappointing, i like the guy and had high hopes for him. although when fowler came on he was better, playing crouch and moro together doesnt help

Yeah cos Pongo has really set the world on fire for us.

Though whilst Moro has a slow start he got better as the match wore on. Great movement for Gerrard's goal, maybe just needs to net a few himself to get his confidence up.

Why are you rolling your eyes? He's entitled to his opinion. Pongolle has shown himself to be an effective player for us and Morientes is disappointing more often than not.

He is indeed.

Morientes set up the goal, as well as setting up a chance Luis should have scored from.

Sinama has been occasionally effective as a substitute.

His opinion is w***, but I am sure he is perfectly able to stick up for himself, should he wish to do so.

Mori set up the goal nicely and also set up Luis for a chance that was harder to miss than score from. It should've been two assists for Mori tonight. That's good exchange for any striker. His overall play wasn't all that good but atleast he had an end product.

Absoultely he is entitled to his opinion but why at the expense of slagging another player off?

besides, he was good 2nd half.

nando looked like a real threat after robbie came on and the team started to play some good possesion football...

The strange thing with Nando is that he is working hard, doing all that is asked of him and time and time again he cant find the back of the net.

I keep thinking it is bad luck, when his luck turns he should be scoring for fun.

Not ready to give up on him yet cos there are so many parts to his game that are great.

Morientes: lost count of chances, 0 goals

Fowler: 1 chance, 1 goal.

And the point to your post is?

Morientes: lost count of chances, 0 goals

Fowler: 1 chance, 1 goal.

You could point them out for me, because I don't remeber too many direct chances he had.

And did Robbie score? Did we win then?

Maybe Morientes would get more chances if he stood in an offside position?

Morientes: 0 goals, 1 assist...

Still not good enough though is it? We have no cutting edge - full stop.

Fowler may do it - and we'd better hope he does coz at the moment the other 'forwards' we've got couldn't score in a brothel.
