Would be a decent pick up for any team.

Sky sports

Robbie's already recruiting his own scouse gang. He's been very good when I have seen him this season. Hope he doesn't go to the Mancs.

He's a scouser, playing for City, who was all set to come to us at one point. Can't see it

City must be gutted after they stood by him through all the troubles he's had and now he's decided he wants to go. I'd have him if we didn't have 4 or 5 central midfielders already.

Anywhere but here, thanks.

City are doing alright, why does he want to leave? Does he think he's too good for them? 'cos he's not, far from it.

They've rejected the request.

Seems to be something over contract discussions.

They've offered to double his wages and now he has put in a transfer reques, according to sky, although people close to barton say its not about money

Barton? No, I don't think so.

Modern-day Davey Thompson.

I'd say he was better than Thompson to be honest. Not saying we should go for him or anything but I think he's been great for City this year, I wouldnt be too displeased if we got him. Wasnt he on the TV a couple of weeks ago though, saying he only wants to play for Man City ??

Reckon he's a poor mans Gerrard though.

I'd go for him if we're willing to let Hamann go in the summer, think he's a cracking player, the "sign so and so because he's scouse" I find is the most irritating argment ever but this lad is a quality player imo. He'd walk straight into Utd or Arsenals team so i'd be surprised if either of them dont go for him.

You listening to Merseyside, Mr Brown?

Would anyone like him to join Fowler at Liverpool, would be a very good squad player if not 1st teamer, anything can happen as we all know. ;)

No mate how come? Just got a phone call about it. He'd be well up for coming here but can't see how it would be feasible. He wouldn't be the right player for our weakness (right hand side).

They were just talking about in on Merseyside. Anybody hear that blert of a blue going on about how we'd wasted £30 million on strikers and then went on to talk up Beattie? Oh dear.

Hope he's not off to the bad side of Manc

Yeah me too - i'd be extremely shocked if he was though to be honest. He's very fond of Liverpool these days.

Anybody hear that blurt of a striker saying how when he's fit he's unplayable?

Oh wait....

Good player I reckon, although it's hardly like we need to strengthen that area of the team. He'd jump at the chance though...

According to teletext City have rejected his request so I dont imagine he'll be going anywhere soon.

Spoken to someone who knows him and we have not been mentioned.

Joey Barton, handed in a transfer request...

Did he stub it in Pearce's eye?

Seems a bit drama queen like, handing in a transfer request with only one day of the window left open?

Fella on the panel, a regular on the show just goes "Evertonians live in the World of reality." The irony of it.
