"Liverpool were handed a home tie against Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

The two rivals, who have won the trophy 17 times between them, were paired together in the draw for the final 16.

 

League One sides Brentford and Colchester were both rewarded with Premiership ties.

 

Brentford will make the short trip to Charlton, while Colchester face an away tie at the winners of the Everton and Chelsea replay.

 

Colchester boss Phil Parkinson, whose side beat Derby in the fourth round, said, was delighted with the draw.

 

"I'm very pleased. I think everyone at the club deserves it. It's fantastic news and we're absolutely delighted," he told BBC Radio Five Live.

 

"The place is already buzzing after the season we're having.

 

"That will pay the wage bill for the whole of the season - it means a lot to a club like us."

 

Bolton, who knocked out holders Arsenal at the weekend, face an all-Premiership tie at home to West Ham.

 

Aston Villa and Manchester City face each other at Villa Park in the only other tie featuring two top flight clubs.
