Guest Kev Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Very interesting indeed. Maybe he watched the Pompey match and thought better of it
salkavalka Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Sack Parry I guessMaybe is Craig Johnston coming home.
Ian Brown Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Very interesting indeed. Maybe he watched the Pompey match and thought better of it Wouldn't blame him like! It is very interesting I have to say.
realtarragona Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Not too bothered if I'm honest. Well, that's only because I'm presuming we have someone else lined up. Or hoping rather.
Swipe Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Can't imagine it's cos we've got someone else lined up. Prob just failed a medical or they upped their price or summat.
Guest Abhishek Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Gonzalez was loaned to Sociedad earlier today. Knew there was something up when I read that. Would be quite a dash for Rafa to get someone who he's already identified, unless he's already got a deal lined up.
Clay Davis Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Huge coincidence. If not, I'll do the biggest sex wee you'll ever see.

Us getting a new right winger isn't going to make it any easier/harder to get Speedy a work permit.
Guest Kuzco Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 I personally think its just a case of the deal going t*** up. Lets be honest, if SWP was signing tommorow you would have expected such a significant transfer to have been picked up by some part of the media either yesterday or today.

True, but I assumed that Speedy would be going on loan to Sociedad in order to facilitate the the Victor move. Rafa did mention a possible swap regarding Gonzalez although he didnt state that it was Depor. Maybe that wasnt the case....
Iver Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 According to Dave U , the Victor deal is off. he doesn't know why or if it can be resurrected. SWP? It couldn't be, could it.The plot thickens Absolutely gutted if this falls through. Tonight's game yet again highlighted our need for a quality right sided player. I think we need Gerrard through the middle for maximal effect for the remainder of the season. We seem destined to never get a quality right sided player in.

Guest Kuzco Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 (edited) What like Fowler's was? The Fowler deal was an anomaly IMO. Even parry stated he was shocked at how fast the deal was concluded from start to finnish (less then 24 hours). Edited January 29, 2006 by Kuzco

locutusofliverpool Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Terrific This feels just like the Simao affair during the summer with this last minute hitch. If this SWP does go through and I find it unlikely that it will, he would be cup tied in both the FA and CL competitions and Chelsea may insist that SWP cant play against them in the league encounter. I guess in that sense Victor would have been the better signing. Lets just hope Rafa can pull a rabbit out of his hat by Tuesday
Barnesy_10 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 gutted don't know much about Victor.. but we so need a winger..
