Defoe for reds?

Did anybody hear anything about Defoe joing us?. He was supposedly spotted at Liverpool Airport.

He's hardly joinging the blue side.....or maybe Tranmere are after him.

Just out of curiosity, if Defoe was talking to us today about possibly signing, why would he be going to Liverpool when all of the staff are in Portsmouth? The chairman and chief exec attend pretty much every game so if they are there today (which of course I don't know for sure), then it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I think they could a fford to leave a few of the staff at Anfield if it meant signing a key pleyer.

I just don't think it makes sense for anything like that to be happening so late in the transfer window and on a match day.

I don't think it makes sense because we've signed Fowler, How would Defoe get in the side ?

 

Late in the transfer window is when deals are likely to be rushed through, so if anything is going on then they'll make it happen, even if it means late nights, flights back from Barbados or even people doing the job they are paid to do actually being at their desk and doing their job.

Yeah of course things like that happen i'm just being pedantic I think. And looking for reasons because I just can't fathom why we would sign either SWP or Defoe when we have just strengthened those positions so late in the window. To me, our deals are done for January.

but its makes perfect sense to do it when the team are away playing, the finance of a deal has nothing to do with Rafa, so say he`s agreed in principal to sign, then its up to him and his agent to sort out a contract with Parry id assume, not Rafa, so that wouldnt matter

 

although, i hope the sigthing is of SWP, not too pushed with Defoe

I don't think it makes sense at all. He's very selfish, doesn't link too well with other players and makes Diouf and Cisse look positively at timing of runs...i hope he doesn't have to cross too many roads.

He'd be another Baros, only with half the effort.

 

Just can't see Rafa being interested.
