liverpool and wages

don't know where to ask this question ,just wondering if anyone knows what percentage liverpool spend on wages in relation to our income ?someone told me that we were " paying out about 70% of your income on wages according to the last Deloitte survey" thats seems remarkably high and dangerous ,I know there is a recommended level but I forget what it was ,someone must know ? I am just curious really.

 

just that we have sold players like owen ,baros and got others off the wage bill like smicer and biscan. It did seem at one point like we had about 8 million set aside for either owen or a right winger ,the money situation just seems shrouded in mystery at the moment .

It's actually around (I think just below) 50% - and will have gone down again this year. We have been reducing it on an annual basis for about six years now.

actually it rose last year as a % because we had no CL football. Season before it was around 54%.
