My 11 year old nephew asked me to put together an introduction to 'dirty rock and roll' before Christmas. The track listing is below. What I tried to do was create some kind of potted history because he also wanted to know about the records and musicians who had changed music in some way. A week after he got it, the 50 Cent posters were torn off his bedroom wall and replaced with Nirvana ones. For Christmas, he bought me a Led Zeppelin poster to put up in mine. Its probably the nicest present I have ever got.

Anyway he's asked me to create another one and I'm looking for suggestions. Can you also provide reasons why the tracks should be included? He is a story junkie and has totally bought into the myth of rock and roll.

By the way, his favourite tracks off the first one were Trash, Search & Destroy, Fell in Love With a Girl and Come As You Are…
