Gray - YPC Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) Gary Neville in particular. Would he have done that if we were on the front row, like in the Anny Road? Would he f*** the f***ing pube-tached s***house!! I hope next time his car gets f***ing burnt out with that c*** in it. People commenting from afar about what we should and shouldn't do - "We should be above all that" - well it's f***ing easy to say when watching from the alehouse or at home when you're not surrounded by the c***s. When you go to that horrible place it's hard to hold back. I thought our fans were boss today. Support the team, sang for Liverpool for 99% of the time. Put on a good show with the European Cups, and the 5 cards and all that. And when they tried to give us s*** we stood our ground and didn't take any s**** off them. Sorry if that kind of thing makes you choke on your bed-time cuppa, but that's the way it is. And for those making a big deal about the George Best song (which was sung just the once, and as discussed was directly after the Michael Shields song), where is the thread about the funny songs: "Sold to the USA (you were) Sold to the USA""If you're Champions of Europe clap your hands"followed by"If you're still in Europe clap your hands"followed by"If you've won it 5 times clap your hands" Cue insults... Agree totally, its easier said than done just standing there taking it. Of course you always get the perfect brigade who never do anything wrong ever, thats just the way it is. I'll admit ive sung Munich songs etc before, not proud of it when I look back but ah well im not perfect so I couldnt give a f*** really.

No but I'm always amused by people who try to claim the high moral ground about singing offensive songs, I remember the seventies and I also remember that on the bus route from Edge Hill to Anfield the graffiti on every wall was about Munich but I have the sense to see that that is only a few idiots... I also remember how after Bill Shankly died a massive number of United fans sang Shankly 81, well I didn't but the numbers in a Liverpool v United game at Anfield once was great, how can anyone claim that they are the fans who don't resort to these songs when all you can hear on this site is abuse for United fans, well I'm a United fan and you can abuse me all you want. You don't know me and if you can't see how ridiculous it is to claim that ALL of your fans are great while ALL united fans are scum then I won't bother trying to educate you, there's good and bad fans of every football club and I have heard tell (though unconfirmed) that there are some good Leeds fans as well......

fyds Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 What the f*** are you on about? Was wondering that myself...I don't do the 'offensive songs' personally, but understood why those who did, did today. And yes, Gary Neville is a little no-balled s**thouse.

Sorry if that kind of thing makes you choke on your bed-time cuppa, but that's the way it is. Cue insults... Here's my insult. Agree with almost all that (except I'd say we sang for Liverpool 100% of the time!) For the first time in many season there, we actually had something to sing and shout about and underneath the stands before kick-off was like the old days again. All the swagger and bravado is back and it's a delight to see and hear. Our fans were outSTANDing yesterday and they made me proud, win lose or draw. Yes, we have idiots but our idiots are drowned out by the Tsunami wave of idiots they have. I lost count of the number of "crushed face" gestures and wings flying that they were DESPERATE for us to sing but we stayed above all that. They truly are obsessed with us, the humourless, vacant-faced soap dodgers. Well, when I say insult, I mean ringing endorsement.
anny road Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 here here Paul I sang Are you watching Georgie Best yesterday, and I aint arsed....... it is part of it...watching your team in a pit of hate.....watching Gary Neville doing that....hearing the s**** you put up with walking to the stadium.....Seeing your fel;low fans getting a kicking outside, like one lad I say...10 or 11 on one up Matt Busby Way In some ways I respect Gary Neville for what he did....at least he doesnt hide his hatred for us......And he will get it both f***ing barrells next season.... We hate him and he hates us...fine by me Reading some on here it does make you wonder wether they have ever gone to a f***ing match
Mike Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Fair enough, some people have admitted that they sang the Best chant, that happens when you're wound up, but they are condoning it today saing they aren't arsed. Again, fair enough and everyone to their own, however, do those people then accept that they can't complain about murderer chants and Michael Shields chant if they themselves admit that they are happy to make Best chants? Just wondering like, not saying it's wrong or right. it is what it is.we hate each other.

Ian Mc Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 GMP havent got a f***in clue .... this stems back years. Remember the now infamous forecourt battle in 1996 or 1997. Then a few years back when they let us out only to cordon us off outside the exit gate ... sittin ducks .... cue all the bricks/coins gettin lashed. They never learn.

Well said as far as I'm concerned. I went to OT last season for the first time in years and vowed never to go again - the atmosphere was evil inside and outside the ground. Consequently didn't go yesterday but my lad did. Him and his mate were attacked by a gang of them outside the ground afterwards. He somewhat naively told his mate he took exception to them singing '96 was not enough' , someone neanderthal heard him and a load piled in. He also said the coppers on horseback were attacking scousers outside the ground at the end. Never understood why they let both sets of supporters out at the same time. I'b burn the ******* lot of them!
CarraLegend Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 GMP havent got a f***in clue .... this stems back years. Remember the now infamous forecourt battle in 1996 or 1997. They genuinely like what goes on imo, if they didnt they'd certainly be a hell of a lot more effort made to stop it. Also, if anyone seems to get nicked it always seems to be one of ours because they had the nerve to react to a punch or taunt of some sort, maybe im seeing that through my Liverpool specs but it does seem that way. I reckon their bizzies love it.
Hightown Phil Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 The bizzies on the horses were the most pathetic people I have seen in my entire life. Using a horse as a weapon is really f*cking big isn't it? Using horses to headbut people with? What a great representative of your profession you are. Was going off big time on that forecourt though, moreso when about 200 tried to charge the cordon at the gates of the car park. Horrible manc t***s.
Jim Price Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I think its long overdue that we start extending the same sort of welcome we get there for when they come to Anfield. Midday or no midday that gang of t***s should be looking over their shoulders. I get the feeling that more than a few have had enough of it.

I find it very disappointing that someone would even would even think of making a post like the last one (Jim Price), and a few others I have seen on here today. I have no idea whether it was meant (at least partly) in jest, or an overreaction, but as I say, I'm always dismayed when I hear talk like this or people calling other generalising and calling sets of fans scum. We cannot claim one minute to be one of the best sets of fans in the world, then react like this, because we've been a little unlucky in a match we all wanted to win. I think generally speaking our fans are excellent, but we definitely have a few morons like everyone else. I don't think there's any excuse for Munich songs, for example. I'm sure there must also be a good few United fans out there, who wish the atmosphere wasn't as vitriolic on both sides. Alright we didn't deserve to lose, but we did didn't capitalise when we were in control of the game.We should be able to take defeat.

We really should have popped along to the nearby hostelries, shaken hands with our Mancunian brothers and regaled each other with stories of a hard fought game. I take it you've never been to Old Trafford?

Guest Scot Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 All of what's been said is fair enough, but we don't get to be outraged and disgusted if other fans whistle through a minute's silence or whatever the f*ck. All I get narked with is the idea that we're 'above all that' when we're not.
