Dublinred4ever Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Much as it pains me to say it, United outdid themselves today. On paper we should have steamrollered their midfield, but they worked their b******s off to gain parity. Had the tables been turned and our second choice midfield beat them we'd have been over the moon. I hate the c***s with a f***in passion but they did the same against Chelsea, worked their arses off and got a result against the odds. Hurts me to say it but in these games they have an edge that we need to add to our game
Maldini Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 (edited) You know something? I remember on a Leeds forum a few years ago that the Leeds fans were always saying "the future's white", they were wrong and you may very well be as well... I'm not saying that Liverpool aren't a good side but I think maybe a few Liverpool fans are getting a bit carried away, either way after the apparent demise of Arsenal as a viable threat to Chelsea it's good to see at least one more team to take their place...... I still reckon we'll finish ahead of Liverpool though.....................Leeds' situation is hardly comparable with ours, they imploded due to their overspending, if anything we have the opposite problem Im not sure but i think one of the sky pundits made a comment that if we had our back 9 with their strikeforce the championship wouldnt be over yet , i think he is prob rightIt was Andy Gray, he's right, but then everyone knew that already, pretty obvious comment Edited January 22, 2006 by Maldini

Enjoy your little bit of glory today.....winning one off derby games is a buzz. Enjoy it, while we're winning the trophies you can no longer compete for.

Romario Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 That was the worst manu midfield we are ever going to play or have played in 15 years. O Shea didn't even know where he was meant to be for most of the first half. Injury my a*** he stank the place off and had to come off. As for Cisse. Goodbye and close the door on the way out if you can be arsed.
Guest King Cantona Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 United fan in shock appearence to coincide with a victory. Kind of interesting that you'd reappear right now, as opposed to say, at any point in the last 7 months. Must have been tough waiting for this since May. Nevermind though, I wonder how long your next vanishing act will last. So I post too infrequently for you do I?... I didn't realize that I would be missed so much......... .......... good luck in the league cup, we will send you a postcard from gay paris Well if you get to the final I will yet again support Liverpool............
stressederic Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 So I post too infrequently for you do I?... Oh no, I just think its mildly amusing that you hide away after May 25th, only to reappear for a bit of on the spot gloating over half a year later.
Guest King Cantona Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Patronising twot. Leeds won the Champions league did they? Enjoy your little bit of glory today.....winning one off derby games is a buzz. Enjoy it, while we're winning the trophies you can no longer compete for. Patronising twot.?... And no Leeds didn't win the Champions League by the way but they did get relegated although I have no doubt that that won't happen to Liverpool but my point was that some fans have very high expectations which aren't justified...
Koogan Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Oh no, I just think its mildly amusing that you hide away after May 25th, only to reappear for a bit of on the spot gloating over half a year later. Mildly amusing? It's so sad that I'm embarrassed for him...
owenthomas Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Well if you get to the final I will yet again support Liverpool............dear God, i've heard it all now.. i'm going for a lie down..
Bailo Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 "We knew that by giving them the apparent control of the game we were able to create more space and counter attack and find the right moments and the right places to damage Liverpool."
Figaro Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) didn't see the game - but hearing the result from Tim over the phone put a downer on the rest of the evening... As for learning from that shower of freaks - Kev has said it all above... Edited January 23, 2006 by Figaro

I hid away after 25th May?... I coulda swore that I was here congratulating you on your fine victory, ah well I suppose that must have slipped my mind... dear God, i've heard it all now.. i'm going for a lie down.. I did the same last year, have you recovered yet..................
madaboutlfc Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 There's f***ing nothing we can learn from those f***ing ugly s***houses. f***ing c***ing t***s the lot of them.couldnt have said it better myself
G Richards Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I felt yesterday's game was teh opposite of when Houllier was in charge. More often than not we'd go there and nick the game (thanks to Super Danny Murphy), but in my heart of hearts I'd have to concede we were not normally the better side, even if we basked in the warm glow of 3 points against our bitter rivals. I think the tables are now turned. Man Utd were nowhere near the best side yesterday. They nicked a goal and celebrated like they had won a cup final. We were below par yet we still seemed to have a lot more control of that game. So, despite a setback, I'm still positive that we are taking big strides forward. We can still overhaul them and put them in 3rd place for the third year running, but taking a wider view than that, I think they'll be in our shadow soon enough.
RP Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 "Credit to United" "Fergie" (from another thread) I think I've entered a parallel universe on here today. Credit to f'cking United?? My ar5e.
Knoxy Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Learn what? There's no art to sneaking a late winner from a set piece

Guest toadboy Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 The mancs were s****, played at home, only had 43% possession, created nothing until that header, got a corner after 87 minutes and all I've heard from 'neutrals ' is praise for Brown and Ferdinand. They're 2nd in the league, they're Man United, they were at home, they played like s*** houses and nicked a winner. And we could learn from them? f*** off.
