Guest Ant Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 This guy is enjoying his football, and is proving his worth a top class performance and didn't deserve to be on the losing side, his interview before the game gave alot away to how things had been. Get In There Harry lad!
_00_deathscar Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Not sure about a 'top class performance' Ant - he was alright. It didn't come off for him at times, but like little Luis, kept looking for the ball and kept trying. Good to see atleast. Didn't hide.

Get In There Harry lad! You'll do well to see a better save this season than VDS's from Kewell's shot in the 2nd half
madaboutlfc Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 You'll do well to see a better save this season than VDS's from Kewell's shot in the 2nd halfif we had a that welsh git we would have been 1 goal up with that rebound
jfogarty Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 if we had a that welsh git we would have been 1 goal up with that rebound Or a chubby striker playing for Wigan
crisps Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Or a chubby striker playing for Wigan seriously hope theres a 'can be recalled' clause
Guest Kev Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 seriously hope theres a 'can be recalled' clause I don't think there is, but I'm usually wrong about most things at the moment. So there is definately a clause that he can be recalled at a seconds notice.
Guest Cisse's mate Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 For me Harry was back to his worse not his best didn't get past a player and was throwing balls into the area and not thinking about them. He was close to being my worse player, after Alonso who went missing through large parts of the game, and the Skipper who was playing for himself most of the game. The space their new full back had on the right in the first half was criminal,

Bootle Buck Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) Kewell didn't want to know after his knock. Came into it mor in the second half but by no means a good game for him. Edited January 23, 2006 by Bootle Buck
uppsala Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I never thought I'de see Kewell take on defenders like that while he was still in a liverpool shirt.Another great effort from Harry.
Koogan Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Their new fullback Gary Neville. On OUR right. Evra... I agree that Gerrard gave him too much space to get upfield on several occasions.
Paul B Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I never thought I'de see Kewell take on defenders like that while he was still in a liverpool shirt.Another great effort from Harry. ??? Mystified me, that has. Kewell was Mr. Anonymous yesterday but to be fair to him, so were a lot of our players and mainly because whatever half chances the midfield created, the players, and us the fans, knew wouldn't be converted as no-one's got any faith in the strikers. If our midfield dominate and hand them regular gilt-edged chances on a plate, then yes, they'll score, it's the law of averages. Give them a half chance and there's no chance.

Kewell wasn't anonymous by any means. Certainly in the top 5 Liverpool players although it admittedly wasn't up to the par of some of the last 8 or so games, but then neither was anyone else's performance. He beat players today and most importantly he showed huge commitment in the tackle and the challenge, diving in for things where he could have hurt himself. That was something that Harry Kewell never used to do. Good to see - along as he doesnt bust himself....
Romario Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I thought he showed a lot of heat yesterday especially after getting his nose splattered. Even after that he went on for a few 50/50 headers that many would have let pass by. I have to sayhe's an exceptionally good header of the ball and great at beating his man in the air.Doesn't look very tall to be winning some of the balls he does. Also thought ManU picked him out for some rough treatment early on. He didn't hide. P.S. Am I the only one who craps themselves everytime he goes down under a challenge? I'm always terrified that he'll be out for another year.
Guest westang Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Also thought ManU picked him out for some rough treatment early on. he didn't hide. spot on. we were playing with one out-and-out winger yesterday and he knew how important his role was. credit to harry he wasn't at his best but he tried and tried to charge down the left flank
boohog Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 P.S. Am I the only one who craps themselves everytime he goes down under a challenge? I'm always terrified that he'll be out for another year. Join the club. But its great to see him no longer bottling it.
mercury Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 He and Xabi for me are in top three men yesterday.
Coyler Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Kewell didn't want to know after his knock. Came into it mor in the second half but by no means a good game for him.Bullcrap, he went up for at least one other fifty-fifty in the air that almost creased him and he got stuck in more than I've seen him for a while. After he had his nose smashed in.
Stevie H Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 he was our best player. thought he worked really hard.
Stevie H Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 i still can't get my head round cisses' miss he could and should have sidefooted it. he could have knocked it in with his old boy ffs. but he chose to put the laces through it.
Romario Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 i still can't get my head round cisses' missI'm trying to forget it myself otherwise I just get wound up.
Romario Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 do you think he's a bit simple? For quite a while I wondered if there was much going on up stairs with Cisse.Imagine Cisse with Pongos brain or Crouches!I thought that perhaps he just needed time to get used to playing a different waybut all my worst fears are slowly being realised. I think we bought a 6 foot Turd. A fast one I'll admit.
