Maldini Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 They won today therefore he earned the right to do that sort of crap, that's the way it works.
monkey puzzle Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 (edited) Roony's tackle, the free kick that led to their goal? I would be majorly surprised if our manager cared how Neville celebrated - in fact who cares? Edited January 22, 2006 by monkey puzzle
Awrence Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 You're probably right! I just interpreted it as something out of the game. For the record I think Rooney should have been red carded. It was a deliberate and dangerous attempt to stop the player.
Morse Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 He did nothing wrong. He loves his club, he had seen his club beat the "enemy". I would expect Gerrard or Carra to react the same way. Alan Green's reaction was shocking and childish.
Billy Dane Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 It was a booking and no more. So Neville's passionate about beating us, so what. We only want players who play for the shirt, that's what Neville does for them.
Guest Red Mist Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 I'd like to stick a burning red hot metal rod up his nose.
Cobs Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Seriously - the bloke is a cn*t regardless of what he did/does. He doesn't deserve a thread - f*** him.

Alan Green's reaction was shocking and childish. Didn't hear Green's reaction, but if neville did what R5 are saying he did, then he should be punished according to the rules. There is difference between going to the fans behind the goal after you've scored following continual abuse, and running the length of the pitch, when someone else has scored and you've not had a degree of abuse all match. I personally agree that it was nothing, it should be part of the game etc, but it isn't. Rules are rules and I really see no reason why man u should get special treatment. Last year a lot of fuss was made when a Liverpool fan threw his phone in rooney's direction after he taunted them, and rightly so, it could have injured him (though very unlikely). That fan was banned for life from all football matches. Just think about what that means, never ever beaing able to go and see Liverpool again? Is that really a fair and just punishment for chucking a phone in the heat of the moment? Though I can take being taunted when we lose, as I suspect most people on here can. Some people can't, and I think the players have to have a professional responsibility. The fan that threw the phone had the same mentality as Neville, I don't say why they shouldn't be equally punished when they act equally irresponsible. Edited January 22, 2006 by Gomez

Speaks a lot, but says absolutely nothing. Shaded it my balls.
Morse Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 What did Alan Green say? He made such a big deal of it, it was unbelievable. He kept saying that his behaviour warranted an FA ban of three matches etc...the guy is just a Liverpool fan, frustrated at conceding a late goal to lose the game. He doesn't help our cause when he behaves in this way...good commentator that he is.

Guest efcrmagic Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 You say it's not "Utds cup final", well what is Liverpools? I expect the "European Cup final" but come on, who's the team you want to beat the most because it sounds like your making yourselves out to be on such a high perch that your not arsed about anyone and that everyone is arsed about you. As for Gary Neville, he's a manc, Utd through and through and it wasn't like he was getting no s*** from the away end today was it?

Cup final is for inferior teams to us like Everton, Man united et al.. We are the most successful club in the history of football.. United are a big game but I would take losing to them if it meant we won a cup final.. its team like Everton who can live off a derby win for a year for whom its considered a cup final..

CarraLegend Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 See his reaction, flashing the badge to the Liverpool fans when Rio scored. Complete and utter t@t. The club he loves just got a last minute winner in their biggest game of the season, i'd of had an orgasm if it'd been at Anfield, Hyypia headed one in and Carra taunted their shower of c***s in the Lower Anny.

We'd be creaming our pants if Carragher did something like that. Neville's a cretin but ffs let the c*** enjoy his win. Football's all about this sort of stuff.

Jamie seems like a nice fella but he is a s**** pundit. Disappointed that he had a big grin on his face straight after the game as well. I know he's not neccessarily a Liverpool fan but I would have thought he'd have toned down the incessant grinning after we lost to our biggest rivals in the last minute.
Guest Red Mist Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Jamie only got the job because of his looks. As a pundit, he is hopeless. Better than Phil Neville though.
Guest Barney Boots Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Was going to comment on this in the rant section, but saw this thread. Wouldn't p**s on Gary neville if he was on fire, smug B*****d (That gay little mustache does not make you look hard you T**t) Then after united scored,I was sat there with my head in my hands, obviously some glory hunting middle aged woman cottoned on,turned round and shouted "Take that you f*****g murdering scouse b******d" right in my face. F*****g t***s the lot of them.
