I watched the game, too, and Villa did look class. Having said that, his style of play is well suited to the Spanish league and like our own Moro, he lacks pace. For me, we need raw speed and a natural goalscorer ie. Michael Owen.

I remember when we where linked with him, many of the experts here where not too impressed with the suggestion

 

Villa won't want to leave VCF. They are doing well again, they have a very good squad, and he is one of their key players. They'll be back in the CL next year too.

 

Just to add to that - when we were linked to him he was quoted as being very much against the idea of moving to England.
