Will Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I believe that the waiting list is effectively redundant without the new stadium - the number of people giving up their STs each year is miniscule. I don't expect you will ever get one without a new stadium if you join now

As an aside i wonder if the a*** had a 10 year wait for ST's at Highbury before they decided to build their new stadium.

Scally Bob Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 It's been done to death but the real problem lies in the fact that so many season tickets aren't used by the people to whom they are registered. If somebody wants to stop going they should give the ticket up and let it be allocated to the next on the list. Two lads behind me have two seats but they aren't in their names. They probably attend 60% of games and the other games there can be anyone-or often nobody-in their seats. They didn't turn up, for example, last New Years Day against the Chavs (been on the ale, couldn't get out of bed) yet there would have been plenty who would have loved those seats. The Club doesn't care but it should. I can't understand why people keep the tickets when they have given up going the match, especially now that without credits on your fancard the lazy turn-up-for-big-matches STH has been rumbled. Are they waiting for the "good times" to come back? God help us if that's the case-people who haven't been for years just returning because they expect us to win every week! It clearly says on your ST that they aren't transferrable. If the Club had a purge on this it would free up loads and it would discourage people from doing it in the future.
Guest jjasonuk Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 ST are transferable as a whole, I found one available from an 'advert card' in Tesco's got it from this old fella and he agreed to change the name and address to mine. I called the club said he was an uncle and they said get him to send in a letter giving the old and new details. A few days later it was all done, ST transfered mid season. If you ask they will change the name and address on a ST.

And if someone had to move away for work or whatever I can understand it-the Club certainly wouldn't give a refund! But what about all these who "rent" them out. Why won't they let go? And really people who have taken the trouble to go onto the waiting list should get a chance rather than somebody who just dropped lucky.

Couldn't agree more mate, I just dropped lucky after being on the waiting list for about two years, but you wouldn't turn one down to be fair to others would you? You just say thank you and yippee!
