The Shield has been shown on Channel 5, series 4 finished a couple of months ago. Series 5 has started this week in the US and should be over here later in the year. Both series 3&4 are on DVD in America, not sure of any plans to release them onto DVD here though.

The 3rd season of The Wire starts on f/x this week, not sure of times and no idea about the DVD release of it. Season 4 starts in the US later in the year.
