Try not to let biase get in the way, but pick a team from players of Liverpool and Chelsea. It can be any formation you wish.

I'll start the ball rolling;

Reina

Finnan

Terry

Carra

Gallas

Gerrard

Alonso

Lampard

Robben

Crespo

Cisse

6 Liverpool and 5 Chelsea

For me there is a question mark at left back...Gallas doesnt want to play there but is better than the other options..Centre mid...With the options available, it is one from Lampard and Gerrard and even is Svennis wont make that decision, I would.....Wide left..as it stands Kewell is in good forma nd would challenge Duff...nd up front, I have gone for the combination I think would work best

Doesn't look too bad of a side to me! Perhaps Robben hasn't done enough this season to get in, but hard to say.

Reina/Cech 50-50 for me

The midfield is probably too attacking, but with that defense behind them it won't matter!

Cisse might be lucky to be in there too

Much as I like Reina, he's no Cech as yet.

And much as I hate Drogba (and boy, do i hate him), he'd still be a better candidate than Cisse.

Combined teams are hard like, cos with the Rent Boys, we've both got strong midfields and defences (they just have a heck of a lot more of them). So you could take either or. And you'd always leave out some fantastic players.

Cos how can you pick 2 out of Alonso, Gerrard, Makalele and Lumplard for the midfield.

Same with the goalies, just cant pick.

At a push, going on talent alone - cos the likes of Robben and Crespo often don't end up starting for Chelsea it seems:

---------Cech or Reina - whichever!

Finnan - Carra - Terry - Del Horno

----- Gerrard - Alonso - Lumplard

-Robben -----------------------------Duff

------------------Crespo

I can't wait to see who Cobs picks

just as long as you don't pick any reds, Kahnee - we don't want any of our players dead.

Lesser of 5 evils for me, I don't rate Gallas out there either.

fair do's

what was that - first game or so of the season?

anyway - Bolton, Fulham, Blackburn, Newcastle, Spurs, Man U - all are capable of taking points off Chelsea.

I just can't give up the chase in mid Jan when we're on such a good run.

Think it was their first home game of the season mate. They can defo drop points but the pressure is on us to win every game (Which we are more than capable of) and we've got some tough ones + CL and FA Cup, that said you never know but I just cant see it and its f***ing irritating because this run should mean we have a cracking chance of the title but fair play to them.

Two of the best teams in the world and yet the "strikers" would struggle to get in anybody's top 10 of world's best goalscorers...amazing that.

true.

I count 5 chelsea players to liverpool's 6 if I were to assemble a team. Tossup between Reina and Cech, but Reina gets it for being so quick off his line and being a marvelous thrower of the ball.

Defence is easy, Finnan, carra, tery and Gallas sort of pick themselves.

Midfield is tricky, but with the striker's not being able to match the quality of the midfield, I'd throw an extra man in there for a lineup of xabi, lamps, gerrard in the centre and Duff on the right and kewell on the left. Cole has every right to feel buggered at being left out though, as it was a close call between the three. Makelele would also be within his rights to be miffed at being excluded.

Up front, Crespo walks away with it.

---------------reina-------------

finnan---carra---terry---gallas

--------------alonso-------------

--------gerrard-lampard-------

-duff---------------------kewell-

--------------crespo-------------

Considering that three chelsea players were just on the brink of getting picked though, it's hard to say we have a stronger 11 than they have though.

I think SG and CM would be an excellent midfield partnership, a very hard call not to put Xabi in, but i think that team would need a ball winner at CM.
