Flight Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Ronaldo definitely out of our game with the red card he got today ?
anfield Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 ronalso AND smith should be out now ehhehehhehehe
Falconhoof Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Rooney could have got a red for a high challenge in the first half. Was Alan Smith sent off at the end then ? I turned it off just after Robbie's goal. Lovely finish.
anfield Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Smith got his 5th yellow 2 min before end. Atleast thats what the commie said
anfield Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 ok now someone tells me commentators got it wrong and the yellow was for fowler not smith.......
elmer dinkley Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 I think Rooney can play because his suspension will be against Burton on Wednesday. Same for Ronaldo unless it was a straight red card.
StevieC Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Hopefully Smith will play against us. Why? When hyped up he can occasionally be effective- with him out they will have to rely on O'Shea and Fletcher in midfield- they'd be f*cked.
Guest Red Mist Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 I don't care if Ronaldo plays or not. The guy has to be the most overrated footballer ever to play in this league. Had he played for any other English club he would be dismissed as a show pony, yet because he plays for ManUre he's hailed as world class even though time and again he proves what a terrible team plyer he is and has no end product whatsoever.

I agree for the most part, but when we played them at their place last season he was very good - caused us lots of problems.

Internationinteroperability Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 They'll be missing Ronaldo against us, no doubt. Isn't Park injured atm? If so, Utd are short of decent wingers Now what would happen if Rooney got injured against Burton? Jiiiiiiiiiiiinx!
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 It was a straight red. Horrific flying tackle. Ah - but as Exlax said - he didn't make contact. Didn't get near him. So if you throw a punch & miss, it's OK in the gin-soaked world of Alex?
ShaunOfTheRed Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Ah - but as Exlax said - he didn't make contact. Didn't get near him. So if you throw a punch & miss, it's OK in the gin-soaked world of Alex? ...and of course had that been one of our players flying in on one of his he would have been calling for someones head the t*** that he is......he makes Fat Sam sound logical with some of his drivel...
Mad_Fer_It Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 dont the 5 yellow card suspensions get into action after one game has passed?
bigdave50uk Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 dont the 5 yellow card suspensions get into action after one game has passed?i think they play there fa cup replay on wednesday, so maybe he will miss our game
Earl Hafler Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 It was a straight red. Horrific flying tackle. No it wasn't
Behind Enemy Lines Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 I think he will appeal & be available to play against us
Earl Hafler Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Sissoko and Gerrard have made worse tackles and been defended on here. Bennett was abysmal.
Behind Enemy Lines Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Bennett was abysmal. Bennett IS abysmal
Nebraska Red Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Slurgie was right and there was no contact, but the intent was there to hurt a player. How Rooney stays on the pitch is beyond me. However, his early yellow card took him out of the game for most of the 2nd half.
