Bootle Buck Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 there are more than one Queens Park Rangers - Not after a specific placePort ValeArsenal - Although there is now an Arsenal tube, they were named as such because of the Armanants factory also..Grismby's ground is in town (Cleethorpes) and not right near the sea On a recent BBC 5 Live quiz they said Port Vale was the only one.

anny road Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 there is a queen's park, near kilburn. it's an area and a park! ok ill bow down on QPR but not on Arsenal
yellow jumper Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 they were originally called woolwich arsenal. the woolwich was dropped after they moved to north london.
Herbie von Smalls Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 ok ill bow down on QPR but not on Arsenalyeah, but i suppose there are some that would argue that they were originally named 'woolwich arsenal', so while the goals have been shifted since they moved, they did have a local identity to begin with.
