Romario Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Does he just go back to his other club and everyone forgets about it or was he released by the club before hand? Seems a bit strange.
Guest evil_billy Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 he goes back to his original club doesn't he?
Mono Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 He goes back to Deportivo Saprissa... Seemingly Rafa wanted him to go on loan to Spain and adapt a bit to the European game.... presumably to keep an eye on him as they may not be wholly convinced about him. However the Saprissa manager has figured Bolanos would prove better value if he was still theirs come the end of the World Cup and they'll get their moneys worth then
Guy_Incognito Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 He was just on a trial, wasn't he? So he was still 'owned' by his original cluband should just go back to them I would have thought.
Swipe Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Is it too naive/hopeful to think he's been let go as Rafa already has another RW lined up?
Guest Kev Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 He has been released. The official line is "He's not the type of player that we are looking for at the moment'. Apparently he impressed during a trial game, but not elsewhere.

Benitez Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Bolanos to Manchester City, maybe Meanwhile, City have given young Costa Rican winger Cristian Bolanos another chance to secure a Premiership move. The 21-year-old has been released by Liverpool following a trial at Anfield, but that has not deterred Pearce. Bolanos initially caught the eye of Reds boss Rafa Benitez after impressing in the Fifa World Club Championship in Japan. Should Bolanos secure a favourable impression then City will likely need to pay around £500,000 to secure his services permanently
