Seemingly Rafa wanted him to go on loan to Spain and adapt a bit to the European game.... presumably to keep an eye on him as they may not be wholly convinced about him. However the Saprissa manager has figured Bolanos would prove better value if he was still theirs come the end of the World Cup and they'll get their moneys worth then

Meanwhile, City have given young Costa Rican winger Cristian Bolanos another chance to secure a Premiership move.

 

The 21-year-old has been released by Liverpool following a trial at Anfield, but that has not deterred Pearce.

 

Bolanos initially caught the eye of Reds boss Rafa Benitez after impressing in the Fifa World Club Championship in Japan.
