Bolton game in doubt

mixed on this one.

last game of a tough set of fixtures & I'm not too sure i'd like to play Bolton on a hard pitch. Would provide a little rest for the lads.

but

we're in cracking form & it'd be an excellent result to get another win there + wouldn't want extra fixture congestion towards the end of the season.

I'm taking my two lads to this one, they'll be gutted to miss it :(

It's a disgrace that any Premiership club has to postpone games.

If the game was awarded to the opponents, then you'll find non would be called off because of the weather.

Good point.

With all the money in the premiership, it's a disgrace that games have to be called off for whatever reason.

As you say - these clubs should be punished.

Imagine you're a Charlton fan and you travel to Newcastle to be told the game is off.

its not fair, other teams are having to play 4 games in 8 days. i wouldnt put it past Bolton to be doing it on purpose as they have a small squad and want to spread the games out a bit, and they now i have an excuse because of the weather

Supposed to be mainly raining on and off saturday and sunday in north west. Unless it turns colder for the monday i reckon it'll be on.

be a pain in the aris if the game is postponed, being as we already have 2 games to make up :hmm:

If Bolton can't sort out their fecin pitch by then, then the leauge need to do something about them, they've got plenty of time.

That was my first thought. They play at OT on Saturday and then us two days later. :hmm:

allardyce has already commented on one or two of his players taking it easy ahead of the african nations cup. a postponement would probably get the game rearranged for after the acn has finished and he'd have a full squad back wouldn't it?

6 degrees in the day time. Got to go ahead with that temperature...

BBC though, will probably be minus 15 with blizzards instead.

Alladyce, being the tactical genius he thinks he is, probably reckons Rafa won't properly prepare if he thinks the game mightn't go ahead.

With 3 games notice, a premiership club has NO excuse for postponing a game due to a frozen pitch.

The premiership have a rule, they should enforce it with point deductions. It's not like it's yeovil, and it's not like it's a sudden deluge to waterlog it.

had to laugh at the fat one saying that he was gutted that the wednesday game was cancelled as he'd prepared his team for four games in 8 days.
