Is it me or is the media opinion of Liverpool FC

It seems to me from listening to some talks shows and reading some recent match reviews that the media is finally starting to see us as a force in British football again. Even our CL win left them doubting us but this recent run has had many hailing us as the onl;y real challenger to Chelsea in the years to come. Even on Talks**** today they seem to think Rafa has done more as a manager in English football to date. Most of the call-ins seem to support the belief that Rafa has done more with the resources he had.

its because the media are a bunch of glory hunting scumbags, and as soon we climb back to the top of the league they will be licking out a*** just like they do with chelsea now and man u a few years ago

yes given the fact if memory serves me right Benitez was being written about left right and centre as having the worst ever Liverpool records to the start of prem season.........then all of sudden he's having the best start ever to Liverpool prem season.....its amasing what 9 games won on the bounce can do to stats.

Just look at the back of almost every paper today and its all Liverpool this Liverpool that, other than a small bit on chelsea rooing it all over mancs

They were all saying good things about is and Crouch.

You just need the t*** Lawro talking us up and we will be in real trouble.

That would just leave Chelsea Fan Beglin.

The tabloids always go with the sensationalist story and usually jump on the bandwagons as quickly as possible. I dont think the press coverage from the broadsheets has been as bad as many make out. When we've been dire (and at times last season, even this we were) but when say we beat Juve or Chelsea we received huge credit for it.

winning the league titles with Porto is not that big a deal.. La liga has been the best league in Europe for a while

Guardian has started putting our match report as the headline article, ahead of teh likes of Chelsea, Arsenal & Mancs, on its footy webpage.

Hard facts: 9 wins on the trot with 20 goals for and 1 again.

The bandwagon is on.

They're starting to see us as a force again because we are. Simple as that. Even last year, we won the Champions League but it was no correlation to our league form. Completely different this year though...

Winning la Liga with Valencia is far more of an achievement than winning in Portugal with Porto.

The acid test will be when we face Chelsea, Arsenal or the Mancs.

to be fair, its not just the media; half of our fans (if this forum is to be believed) were claiming we and Crouch were shoite up until a few weeks back).

Is right and I haven't forgotten getting a lot of stick from a few for telling them to shut the feck up moaning and bitching.

I think from this point in time, any1 that joins this forum now should be branded a glory hunter and told to go back to the manc forums!

harsh, very harsh. Been on other sites for a few years and just having a look at this one. :D

"Glory hunter" - they read chelsea forums not mancs ones don't they. (They have no glory to speak of) :bleh:

I'd start to get worried when the cockney wideboy journos like Martin Samuel and Paul McCarthy start bigging us up.

I hate those c***s.

we've won nine league games on the spin. Of course we are getting credit.

Last year we were losing to palace of course we were getting stick.
