stressederic Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 (edited) The last time I drove up to Anfield was for last seasons home game against Fulham, but I seem to remember hearing that since then the no parking areas around Anfield have been extended. I'm driving up for the West Brom game on Saturday, and was wondering if thats still the case. Where are the best places to leave the car now? Also how close to Anfield is Liverpool train station, I might be picking someone up on the way through. Edited December 29, 2005 by stressederic

anny road Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I park at the top of Walton Breck Road...opposite the Cabbage Hall pub and have done since I can remember..Street parking, never had any problems If someone is coming by train I would reccomend they get the bus or cab to the ground and meet you there

Murphman Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I'd say the ground is about 3 miles from Lime Street. There's a couple of secure parking spots for £5 just down from The Hillsborough Memorial if you get there early. There's similar just over the park in the petrol station. Or park outside Oakie Bob's house.

I'd even consider parking away from the ground close to the M62 as you may be quicker getting off from there somewhere by the rocket pub

They tiold us to ring them when we got there and they would come and meet us, but, under no circumstances should we leave the van or actually enter the rocket. Has it got better recently?.
Swan Red Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 The rocket is fine and has been for years the shady places are down the road a little, it's an arl mans pub now with cheap food on etc but it's not after the scally crowd hence I don't drink there often

stressederic Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 Park in Asda1130708[/snapback] How long can you leave the car there? The ASDA down in Brighton that I used to work at, only let people have a car in the car park for 2 hours before a £25 ticket was left gleefully on the windscreen.
Guest Kev Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I sometimes park outside Woodison in one of the streets. No tickets no problems.

Kids even protect yor car if you pay them 2 or 3 quid. I've parked there loads of times over the past few years and never had any trouble.
